Werkelijk verrukkelijke taartjes, lekkere smoothie en overheerlijke rijkelijk belegde en smaakvolle toast. In een gezellig maar rustig straatje. Sympathieke bediening. Fijn dat bijna alles vegan is/kan! Ga hier zeker weer naar toe als ik in Zwolle ben😄

What an amazing experience! I will definitely come back for the things I already had and to try a sandwich. So many options. I loved the baklava croissant and the snickers which turned out to also be sugar free. The iced matcha was great too. Personnel is very friendly!

I always come back as it´s a lovely place with great food. Super friendly people and cosy atmosphere. The pistache croissant and jackfruit sandwich is my favorite. Great coffee too.

It’s a place for cool vintage clothing pieces and also for very tasty food. The menu is mainly vegan. I had a loaded sandwich with pesto, vegetables with some vegan feta. People there were very very friendly and welcoming:) Will definitely return If life brings me to Zwolle again.

Lovely staff and great food - Edit
I visited Zwolle with my boyfriend and father in law and we had lunch here. The food was great and the staff was very nice. I had the Kimchi avocado toast - it was amazing! My father in law is an omni and he enjoyed the jackfruit satay very much. After lunch we had one of the amazing vega(n) cookies and browsed through the second hand clothes and records. Great atmosphere and for sure recommended!

Kind staff and good options - Edit
Was pleasantly surprised by the different options and the kindness of the staff. It’s a cute spot in the back of a 2nd hand vintage shop. They also sell art from local artists which I found really nice. Was happy with both the drinks and food.

The cupcake was vegan and gluten free and great sweet taste.
Very good coffee. They have oat- and kokosmilk, but not on the menu yet: pea milk. (Gluten-free and very tasty!)
The mushroom pastry my daughter liked a lot. (Tried a bite, cause curious but not gluten-free.)
Service is kind and helpful.

Read moreI took the Jackfruit Satay Toast and it was delicious! Just what I needed. The toast was freshly prepared the moment I ordered.
I would also recommend the treats. I took a brownie and a cookie to go for later. They were very sweet but good.
There are many vegan options.

If inside seating is not for you, you can take place on one of the chairs or the bench outside, or even ask for take away and enjoy your goodies in the nearby park alongside the canal.
I have come here regularly since she has opened and have near tasted everything from the sweets and savouries, I can absolutely recommend the vegan sausage roll (Zwamcijsje) made from Oystermushrooms, which you won't even notice. It's been a couple years since I've had the animal based sausage roll and hadn't found a good replacement yet but this one, this Zwamcijsje, comes incredibly close to the animal based version.
Also the Pistachio croissant is worth every penny, very well balanced in nuttiness, sweetness, and savouryness. It's a bit baklava-like but not as insanely sweet as the original baklava. I'd recommend ordering the pistachio croissant warmed.
Also the cappuccino is great, both caffeinated and decaf, but the absolute winner for me is the Dirty-Chai decaf with oat milk (iced version is equally delicious). It's such a go-to for me that she says it even before I have to order it when she sees me coming in. Also highly appreciate the water served on the house.
LUA'S serves a variety of plantbased milks among which Oat-, coconut- and recently added sprout- milk, but also offers cow's milk upon request.
She also offers some off-menu items which rotate or switch every so often.
Almost everything is either vegan or can be made vegan except for some of the cookies/cakes. But everything is clearly labeled and the owner is always happy to help.
Aside from the great locale and the delicious foods, LUA'S owner is very friendly, helpful and always in for a "babbel" (chat).
Overall a great place for lunch, a snack, or a cuppa!
