Delicious food and great service - Edit
We had lunch today and the food was fantastic. Great value for money with the lunch deal and super delicious food. It’s so nice to have such a choice and 100% vegan. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance too with great decor. Busy on a Thursday lunchtime which is always a good sign!

Was here for lunch. We were early, at noon, and were the only ones. By the time we left some other tables occupied.

Big portions, I couldnt finish mine.
Although the menu is quite extensive, a lot of the dishes seem to be variations of the same base, using tofu and/or seitan. (would have loved to get some vegan shrimp for example).
Ok service, but very reserved. Only the necessary. Eighties/nineties music, which we liked 😃
Nice interior, comfy.
Very large outdoor seating space. Inside accessible, but toilets are downstairs. Clean. Didnt see an accessible toilet.

Recently open in Trier, I had to try it out.

The interior is very cosy and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.
They have a quite big assortiment of delicious sounding dishes on their menu, so difficult to choose. Therefore, the rice table is the perfect option to taste different dishes.
In addition to the starters listed in the chosen rice table, we added another tofu dishes which had 2 spices. This was the only “spicy” dish of the entire meal from my option.
To accompany the rice table we order two nice homemade ice teas, which were very flavorful and not sweet at all.
The seaweed salad with cucumber, tofu and seitan was very nice and refresh, the steamed dumplings were lukewarm, but nice and soft in the mouth, the soup was ok, but from my perspective not exceptional.
The mains were a tofu dish with spring onions and a yellow curry with tofu and vegetables, which are served with one scoop of rice for each person.
The tofu was nicely a bit crispy from the outside but still nicely soft inside, the vegetables from the curry were nice, and the curry itself had a nice balanced coco nutty flavor.
Overall… a very good first experience and I will definitely come back to try out other dishes form their menu.

Delicious and fresh lunch menu - Edit
We ate the lunch menu (11:30-14:30) for 9,90€, to which a 2,90€ drink can be added. The service was quick, the food was delicious, not heavy at all with fresh herbs, vegetable and umami tasting sauces. If you are very hungry you might want to add an appetizer, but for us on a hot summer day the portions were great.
Read moreWe ordered the M3 and M9 on the menu with 1 summer roll per person (you can choose between a soup and a roll for the menu). As a drink we had the green ice tea, which was tasty but didn't really taste like green tea.
The lunch menu is great value, otherwise the main dishes would have been a lot pricier (around 15-18€).
You can pay with EC-Karte, but not with Kreditkarte as of now, ordering to go is possible.
We liked the dishes a lot, it's lovely to finally have a fully vegan restaurant in Trier.

Absolut begeistert von unserem Besuch im Loy Vegan! Die Atmosphäre war einfach wunderbar und gemütlich. Der Betreiber war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, ebenso wie das gesamte Personal. Die Preise waren angemessen und das Essen hat unsere Geschmacksknospen verwöhnt – wirklich köstlich! Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Finally Trier's first vegan Vietnamese opened the doors today! Very beautiful and stylish, 2 floors and a terrace with big umbrellas and a historic view being located right in front of the historic basilica.
