Leuke bierbrouwerij met veel vegan opties op de kaart! Het restaurant is groot maar straalt wel veel sfeer uit. Terras was nu te koud, maar in de zomer kan je zitten aan het water. Personeel was super vriendelijk. Aanrader!

Fantastische bar! - Edit
Lowlander Botanical Bar ligt aan de kade van het IJ. Met de fiets en het pondje vanuit oost kwam ik in dit nog niet drukke en niet toeristisch gebied. Binnen ziet het restaurant er fantastisch uit. We zaten buiten met een Vegan botanisch biertje met vlierbloesem met uitzicht op het Java eiland.

The food was okay ut self but very bland and you didn't get that full. I eat king oysters mushrooms and the first 3 was good but the rest like 5 was just too much of same same.

Lowlander makes fantastic beers, including many alcohol-free ones, which are all served at this restaurant (unfortunately, none of the AF-beers are on tap, that would be even better!). It takes a bit of a walk through a part of town with not much to see but housing estates (coming from the ferry), but you are rewarded with nice river views. As for the food: there is a good selection of meals and snacks (all veggie/vegan but for two of the dishes fish or meat can be ordered on the side). My starter (confit potato with beetroot) was delicious, the main course (ravioli) was however disappointing. At a cost of €19, it was actually a fairly small portion of pasta that was far too al dente and came without much sauce so overall was quite dry.

Delicious options for dinner. We had the bang bang cauliflower, the aubergine steak and the jackfruit rendang. Also two vegan options for dessert, tried the chocolate cake it was amazing. Was all very nice, the waiters were also very friendly.

The locations is super nice, next to the river and the inside os also fantastic. There are many plates that can be made vegan.
