Loving Hut Veganerie

This place serves mostly fast food like burgers, wraps and fried stuff, perfect to satisfy your cravings every once in a while ;) It's also a great place to eat with your non-vegan friends because they offer all 'veganized' regular fast food options like calamaris, cheezeburgers and 'bitterballen' (which are very good!). Our favorite dish was the vol-au-vent but unfortunately they removed this special from the menu :( The staff is extremely friendly and we sometimes just go out to eat there because we like the atmosphere and people there so much. Their mini market is very nice as well, where you can find some special vegan products you can't find anywhere else in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit!

i thought it was vegan, not vegetarian

I went there twice: the first time I had a "fish"-burger and the second time pizza. Both were okay but not especially delicious. To be frank the taste was quite bland actually... The pizza toppings were really simple and boring, as in tomatoes and onions and that was about it.

It's okay for a quick snack but the portions aren't really that big; especially the pizza was rather small.

It's cheaper than the other Loving Hut in Leuven but the food really does not compare. And there are other even cheaper vegan places to eat in Leuven that serve better food.

I won't be going back for the restaurant but I will be going back for the shop. They sell Tofutti's sour cream which I really like. They also sell mock fish by the way.

This Loving Hut is like the McDonalds of the vegan world without the suffering (which even the owner marketed it as) and was one of the most pleasant surprises I've ever had from a Loving Hut. The vegan cheeses were sliced and felt better than the real thing, the burgers were filling and oh so satisfying. The real winner was the fries which we just wanted more of, they were fried to perfect savoury deliciousness. They also sell a whole bunch of vegan chocolates, snacks and faux meats, I recommend the ice cream bar.
