Part of international chain of vegan restaurants inspired by Supreme Master Ching Hai, an advocate for veganism. Each location is individually operated - this one opened March 2021. The menu offers a mix of western and Asian style casual fare including sandwiches, fried appetizers, rice paper rolls, mock meats in the form of satay and drumsticks, rice meal with wok stir-fries. Open Mon 4:00pm-9:00pm, Tue-Sat 11:00am-9:00pm, Sun 4:00pm-9:00pm.

We went for a late lunch/early dinner on a Friday (4pm) and we were the only people there, so service was very quick but even still we felt rushed by the waitress. Really good menu with lots of options and variety, and not bad prices considering! We tried the shrimp starter and oyster mushroom kung pao which were so delicious, but found that the bahn mi was average. Slight shame but a good stop for a quick bite.

We were looking for a place that is slightly cheaper… as Reykjavik is very expensive! I would highly recommend this place. We ordered the tempura, pad Thai, and rice vermicelli. Huge portions!

The vermicelli bowl was great! The vegan skewer was so good! And the restaurant has great views of the street. I happened to eat there during the marathon day and the kids run was happening just outside the window.

We loved our meal! So good. We got the edamame appetizers. It was pan seared and excellent! For entrees, my husband got the pineapple fried rice with tofu and I got the pad Thai. We were very satisfied. As a long time vegan, I so appreciate a fully vegan dining experience. No special requests or worrying about something non vegan getting into my food. Reasonable prices. Two thumbs up!!

It’s great when traveling to find healthy food that’s also tasty. We tried a bunch of things and enjoyed all of it. The tiramisu was especially yummy. Centrally located downtown Reykjavik, so easy to get to.

I'm really grateful for a lovely and helpful staff who served me all these tasty meals. I can especially recommend vegan shrimps made of potato starch. Many Asian restaurants could learn how to prepare vegetables in tempura - definitelly a reason to come back. Blue flowery tea tastes great. Main dishes could have more flavour though, but it might be only my opinion. Better seasoning would suffice. Lack of chopsticks is an disadvantage to me as it is kinda weird to eat that with fork imo.

Well-located in the city on a pretty street, this spacious restaurant has a large interior with plenty of seating. The main menu is extensive, with a focus on Asian-inspired dishes, and prices are reasonable for Iceland. The Pad Thai was served in a generous portion, though it could have been a bit more flavourful. Dessert options are limited. I tried the tiramisu, which was average. Service could be more attentive. There is less emphasis on the religious aspect of the brand at this branch, which I personally found to be a positive.

Sin embargo, suele ser una sociedad concienciada con el veganismo y en una ciudad de poco más de ciento veinte mil habitantes como es la ciudad de Reikiavik, hay al menos cuatro restaurantes veganos y muchísimos con alguna opción.
Read morePor esta razón, haciendo turismo por el país nórdico me encontré con uno de los Loving Hut que hay repartidos por todo el mundo. En este concretamente, con el sobrenombre de Vegan World Peace, pude compartir lo que denominan como «pescado vegano a la parrilla» que viene acompañado con arroz blanco, algunas verduras (brócoli, berenjena, pok choy) y salsa de tamarindo además disfruté exquisita «croqueta de tofu» compuesta, como no podría ser de otra manera, de tofu frito con queso vegano, aros de cebolla, servido con ensalada de col, patatas fritas y salsa chipotle. Una buena cena en un entorno bastante cuidado y tranquilo.
Aunque las franquicias Loving Hut son restaurantes gestionados de forma independiente, en este tiene pocos platos tradicionales de la zona pero como la gran mayoría de ellos, sí listan en su carta muchos platos de la cocina china. Vegan World Peace By Loving Hut es una opción de paso, pero es una buena opción.

Huge portions, a little salty - Edit
Update: I went back a second time and the food was much less salty. Upping to 5 stars. Also it seems the Asian food is better than the fried or western food, so keep that in mind. Most of the fried and Western stuff is appetizers, so easy to skip those.
Read moreAs far as Loving Huts go, this one is far less culty than a lot of locations I’ve been to when traveling, which I appreciate. The Supreme Master stuff is pretty downplayed and it’s a fairly chill spot. Those who, like me, are turned off by the cult aspect can come here mostly comfortably. Just sit with your back to the TV and try not to think about it!
The food is very good and the portions are HUGE. I got the bun Bo hue and it was as good as some of the soups I had when I was in Vietnam. I did find the food a little oversalted, though. And the arancini were not very good. But everything else was great!

This place has excellent food here, and this is the first restaurant I’ve been to in a while where I noticed the presentation of the food was particularly impressive. Everything was beautifully arranged and looked almost as appetizing as it tasted. Every dish we had here was incredible and very filling, and both the appetizers and the main courses were very memorable. However, the meal’s highlight was the dessert, a beautifully presented tiramisu that was structurally unique but had the same great taste of a classic tiramisu. Would love to try more of the menu if I get a chance to come back to Reykjavik.

Loved the food here... mostly Asian dishes. The location is great, especially if you are staying in the harbour area as we were. The dishes were all freshly prepared and packed full of fresh veg. The portions were also very generous. Good value within Reykjavik prices for a healthy fresh meal.
