Nice to find vegan food in Taitung - Edit
I was in Taitung on business and found a Loving Hut, a nice vegan chain. I frequent Loving Hut in Taipei. The menu had some hot pot and a couple fusion dishes with mock meats. I can't complain; I was just happy to find vegan food in Taitung! The staff was friendly and one man behind the counter even spoke a little English. Menu in Chinese/English.
Pros: Vegan food in Taitung! , English menu , Friendly staff/speaks some English

We were surprised to find a nice place like this in Taitung. Small restaurant with many varieties. Loved the noodles with sesame sauce and the golden tofu!

Huge portion and easy to find a parking space!
The deep friend tofu block 黃金豆腐 Golden Tofu is a must order dish here!
Not stinky tofu if you don't dare to try it out yet. ;-D
