Take out only - Jan 2023 - Edit
Pretty standard Loving Hut fare. Friendly service, but take out only. Prices decent enough given how expensive everything seems these days.

Real good vegan food. - Edit
Ping the owner of that place is the nicest person Ive ever met and his family is real nice too. The food is the tastiest I have had in any vegan food with similar approaches to how this type of food should taste like. The spicy cha-cha is by far on top followed by the Mongolian beef. That is just 2 of my fave things and I can say Ive had everything on the menu at least once. If you are near or around and have not had it, do yourself a healing journey of love and go there.

Reliable Option - Edit
The four star is really only because there are so many incredible vegan spots in Portland that it is almost is a shame to go to a place that can be found in any major city. But you will find something tasty to eat if you do find yourself here!

eat here! - Edit
Delicious food aside (and it was very VERY good) the service here was so lovely. The sweetest man who said he was the manager served us lunch and made sure to check on us to make sure everything was fine and our water was always full with the biggest smile on his face! He was so sweet it made me love the restaurant even more than i did after trying their food. If you want some traditional tasting take out, this is the place you’re looking for!

I love Loving Hut - Edit
All Loving Huts seems to have a slightly weird religious vibe, but it doesn't bother us. The staff is so friendly, and there is an extensive menu, all vegan of course! I've never tried any of the "American" style foods, but we (adults and a toddler) like their soups, curries, and rice dishes. When I'm sick I get their wonton soup and put their friend rice in it too. Works like a charm :)

Disappointing - Edit
This is a sit down restaurant, not counter service I was expecting based on the NYC location I visited years ago. Extensive all-Vegan menu, but the was not flavorful. There are better options in Portland. As for ambiance, I found the video loop distracting, as were the three dirty tables beside me (in his defense, one server appeared to be serving and cleaning the dining room solo).

Loving hut will always have my heart. First vegan restaurant I went to {in Arizona} and was pleasantly surprised to find one in Portland, Oregon as well . What an understatement... I literally cried with joy when I found out. 😭❣️ Anyway, the food @ loving hut is always amazing and the server / owner was very nice.

Delicious food and friendly service. - Edit
We were visiting Portland and luckily stumbled upon Loving Hut. We all enjoyed our food. It was nice to be at a full vegan restaurant that we didn’t need to think twice about anything on the menu.

100% Vegan! - Edit
Although I'm sad to see Vegetarian House close its doors, I'm quite happy to have a conveniently located Loving Hut for my vegan Chinese/Thai/etc. cravings. Entree-wise, I've tried the Sweet & Sour Divine, the Spicy Cha Cha, the Mongolian Wonder, & today, the Seaweed Ocean Medley. None of the dishes were lacking in quantity or flavor given the price. The service, as well as the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, is always as good as I've found anywhere. I look forward to returning often.

Wide variety of delicious options & friendly service! - Edit
We were seated quickly and did not have to wait long at all for our food. The menu has something to offer for everyone and I am excited to come back and try more of the 100% vegan options! I highly recommend both the Mongolian Wonder and the chai. I would take an omnivore here.

STOP LOOKING AROUND. GO HERE. - Edit
Ive been traveling the US for 4 months and have eaten at the best of the best, from NY to Chicago to SLC to LA. This restaurant has the best vegan food I’ve ever had. Order the Mongolian beef.... it took me back to my childhood. The server is also the kindest man, opening doors for his customers, regularly checking in, filling waters, and even gave us a complementary soup. Loving Hut lives up to its namesake... the staff is incredibly kind. We didn’t order much this time, but they’re getting a big tip from us.

Loving Hut in my loving gut! - Edit
I’ve been to many lovings huts throughout the world! This is top 3 of my favorites! The ‘meats’ here are seriously delicious! I usually get the Mongolian meat with noodles! Tastes like Mongolian beef - it’s terrific! I’ve never had a bad experience here. I always get it delivered or for take out and genuinely have enjoyed every bite! Don’t miss the wantons or the wings!

Good Food Not Consistant - Edit
The food is really good here. Unfortunately it is not always consistant. About 90% of the time the food is amazing then the other 10% it is either bland or the flavors are just slightly off. Still a wonderful place to go if you're in the mood for chinese food.

Mostly Asian style food with homemade veats that all had great sauces and good textures. Service was good and friendly and place was full at lunch on a Sunday. Will seek them out on other trips!
