Tale of Two Restaurants

Drat, it's a chain, but it offers veg food in DRC. Drat, it's (roughly) the same food as I would get at a mall location in California or in Ulaanbaatar, but veg food. Drat, that weird positivity religious vibe, but... (nothing specific against Supreme Master, but not my thing). Where else'er you gonna go? It was fine. I will certainly be back. That darned hunger thing.

Pros: Happy, nice people., Fine food, if not fine food.

A gem in the heart of Kinshasa

Lovely garden (you may want yo bring anti-mosquito spray), amazing food. Don't miss the fried dumplings, the lemon chicken (in the starters section) and the curry supreme.

Pros: Beautiful and quiet garden, Food is served very quick, There are always available tables with no booking

Cons: Closes early , Mosquitos at night

Yes

I am so grateful for Loving Huts. This one in particular was great because I was a bit worried about having a vegan diet while traveling in DRC. But the servers are attentive, the food is good (like all the Loving Huts I’ve been to) and the propaganda is weird. Just the way I like it. Will definitely go again.

Pros: Lots of options, Not too expensive

Not only for vegans

One of the greatest place to eat in Kinshasa and not only for vegans. I have been there with friends who are not, and they loved the food and choose to come back.
Lovely garden, friendly staff, and they deliver the food super fast. The menu is very extensive, sometimes is difficult to decide what to order because everything is delicious.
Since it's surrounded by a garden, it's not surprise to find some spiders, mosquitos and insects. However the staff is super attentive and they turn on a fan when you arrive and also bring some spirals to repel the mosquitos.
A must-to-go restaurant in Kinshasa, regardless if you are vegan or not.

Pros: Cozy and nice ambiance, Fast , Excellent food

Cons: Insects in the garden

Oasis

There aren't many vegan options in Kinshasa, only some vegan options in different restaurants.
Loving hut is a true 100% vegan and charming place. With many options. Plus, the place promote the vegan perspective, with workshops, information and so on.

The place is in Gombe, the busy center of Kinshasa, but in quiet and charming back yard.

Highly recommended, and we all hope there will be more and more vegan places in Kinshasa and everywhere.

Excellency and Deliciousness

Situated in a quiet and beautifully decorated location with attentive and super polite staff. The food is varied and extremely delicious with loving attention paid to every detail from accessory to food presentation. For local standards it is expensive, but compared to European pricing well acceptable.

Pros: international cuisine, peaceful atmosphere, polite personnel

Cons: slightly expensive for local standards
