Taste over presentation

Whatever you order here, it is packed with flavor. I would love for this place to be a bit more dressed up as a happy experience. I liked how kind and helpful the staff were, communicating through Google Translate. Such nice girls. I am already vegan and I don't need to be convinced. I am a little worried that the tv with the information to the why of veganism isn't helping the cause, but that might be culturally different. We took extra of what we ordered home because it was so good!

Pros: Delicious , Good price, Kind service

Cons: Not bad, but ambiance could improve , The toilet is a bit uncomfortably placed

Not the best, but still good

I wanted to try Nasi Goreng while I was in JKT, so I looked for a vegan store in a food delivery app and found this. I ordered the food in the attached photo. The soup was good. For the other food, they’re not the best, but the taste is still okay.

Also, I never knew Loving Hut has an offline store because their frozen. vegan. eggs. are. the. best. 🥹

Large selection, not the best

So many vegan options. However, the drinks (ice latte, ice tea) were extremely sweet without any notice. There was a fly in my latte. I chose one dish because of the vegan egg that was supposed to be on top, but got the meal without it (again without any notice). Otherwise the staff is nice but don’t speak English. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is pretty spacious.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Staff don't speak English

Lovely vegetarian restaurant

Cosy restaurant with a large menu to choose from. Such a great find as finding plant-based food can be somewhat difficult while in Indonesia, so it was amazing to be able to eat everything on the menu. I came here with my family who eat meat, but they loved the fake meat items and couldn’t tell the difference.

On our first visit to this branch, we ordered way too much as we didn’t realise how generous the portions would be (eg. 10 satay sticks), but we were able to take our leftovers home. Would definitely recommend the crispy nuggets and satay! We did order the Kitchen Fried Chi-Chi, which did not resemble the picture - instead of being fake chicken they were battered mushrooms and did not have any seasoning or flavour and were the least favourite item. Aside from that, everything else was tasty and very affordable.

Pros: Delicious food, Affordable, Large menu to choose from

Cons: Some drink items were unavailable

Great food in East Jakarta

I went there with my family and we tried about seven different dishes from their Indonesian and Japanese menu. They also have Chinese and western food as well. Pictures in the menu helped a lot. Moderately priced from 30–50k rph. Everything we had was delicious, although not always the healthiest (I.e., some dishes had a bit too much oil for my taste). Atmosphere was clean with Zen-like touches throughout. Service was attentive and friendly, but limited English. Location is a bit out there in East Jakarta. Offer delivery through the city various delivery services. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite loving huts!

The atmosphere was great. Menu easy to understand and mostly in English. Food was delicious. So much deliciousness to choose from. Had about 6 dishes for £10! Moderately priced but totally worth more. Sate for starters - great portion size. We had lasagne which was quite small but the fried ice cream sorted us out! They also have a bakery - we got some mini pizza pastries to take away for about 50p !

Pros: Amazing food, Staff friendly , Cheap

A lovely Loving Hut!

This place is very very nice. The restaurant is spacious and the selection of dishes is huge and includes several desserts. The owner was very nice and friendly, too.

This Loving Hut seems to be cheaper than the one at Plaza Semanggi Lantai.

We walked to this LH from Jatinegara train station. It wasn't a very pleasant walk because of the cars but manageable. Took about 15 minutes or less.

Definitely worth visiting.

Pros: Very tasty, Cheap, Nice staff

One of the best

It's a large Loving Hut in the eastern Jakarta, withing a walking distance from Jatinegara train station (takes 10-15 min; the streets, however, are not very pedestrian-friendly).

The menu is extensive and covers both Western and Indonesian cuisine. The prices range in 20-30K for a dish and 10-20K for a drink or dessert. Everything we ordered was very delicious.

The owner was present at that time and was very friendly explaining the menu and concept of Loving Hut in good English. Later he even offered to drive us back to the bus stop with his car.

We will definitely visit this restaurant again if we go to Jakarta in the future.

Pros: extensive menu, inexpensive , friendly staff

Cons: a bit remote area
