Supporting vegan communities - Edit
I am delighted to be able to visit so many vegan/vegetarian restaurants to support their businesses. Loving Hut is just one of them. This means so much more to me than going to 5-star vegan/vegetarian restaurants.

Cheap and quick - Edit
Had the sweet and sour ribs with rice. Very affordable. The sauce was a bit sickly, the ribs had a coconut "bone"! It was fine, but I'd not revisit.

Simple food in Ba Dinh, Hanoi - Edit
Located in Ba Dinh near the Vietnamese government offices and the Ho Chi Minh Masoleum, this is not the flashiest place but has lots of cheap vegan food. The nut milk here was warm and fulfilling, so I had it often. Supreme Master Ching Hai TV is often playing while you eat.

It might not be the absolute best in town, but if you want authentic fully vegan food at local prices, it is clearly worth a visit.
Highly recommended 👌

Loving hut never disappoints - Edit
Com Chay was the 2nd loving hut we visited in Hanoi.
Read moreThe weather was chilly and we ordered a Thai hotpot. Fragrant and delicious with spices, mushrooms, veggies and noodles. The portions were huge. Excellent value for money.
Also ordered the mackerel with five spices dish as well. It was nice.
The owner doesn’t speak English but she’s very friendly. She also sells vegan products like vegan coffee and plant-based meats.

Good food, but - Edit
Certainly have been to other LH and the food is pretty consistent. We got spring rolls that were tasty but so greasy we used all the napkins around to press the grease out. The sweet and sour pork was a little greasy but insanely delicious. Also very good was chikn leg in lemongrass sauce. Ordered a big bowl of rice and still spent under 7€.

Personally I'm not into the mysticism but the food was great and it felt good to support such an earnest vegan chain. I also got some vegan 'floss' to take away which was yum

Good price - Edit
I came here to have a quick and cheap meal. It perfectly met expectations. There are several options of local food at decent prices, but a good phở at 40k vnd (Nov 2023) is unbeatable.
