My regular Wednesday lunch place - Edit
I love this place. The location is great, the owner is friendly, and the food is fast, fresh, and satisfying. The burger is HUGE and loaded with fresh vegetables and your choice of sauce. The stir-fried noodles (gewokte noedels) are served hot with carrots, peppers, broccoli, and seitan strips. The tiramisu is fantastically creamy and rich. Definitely worth dropping by if you're in the neighborhood on Wednesday afternoons.
Pros: great food, friendly owner, convenient location
Cons: only there on Wednesdays, limited seating

Disappointed - Edit
100% vegan options are not abundant in Brussels so I was happy to had the opportunity to visit the Loving Hut express during the Belgian food truck festival last week from which they were the only vegan truck among 80 participants.
A disappointment. I ordered the pizza broodje, a waffle and one of the rice dishes. Flavours were bland, the bread didn't tasted fresh, the waffle was very thin and of the prepackaged type easy to find in any Belgian supermarket. The portions were small.
I suppose that every food business, vegan or not, should be able to offer more quality than what the majority of its customers would easily achieve at home.
Pros: 100% vegan, varied offer
Cons: quality of the food offered

Tino vivaVega! 25 May 2015 - Hi, I'm the owner of the Loving Hut Express. Thanks for taking your time to write this review.
I can totally accept your disappointment, but I feel you must have had expectations that are very hard to meet. Allow me to respond to your points of critic:
Small portions: I don't know if you checked out the food offered by the other food trucks, but in general, our portions are bigger than others, despite ours being certified organic. If you think food trucks ask high prices for their food, please be aware that we have many costs in terms of investments, quality ingredients, staff,..., and most events charge a moderate to high fee for a spot.
Pizzabroodje: I admit the bread was not fresh from that morning. But only when the world is mostly vegan and I can get nice organic burger buns from my neighbourhood baker every morning, I will keep ordering them by the hundreds from my current baker and freeze what I don't need immediately. Your complaint is the first of that kind in 3,5 years of business.
Waffle: again, it's a 100% organic waffle, and it's vegan. By my knowledge, there are no vegan waffles for sale in supermarkets, I find your comparison a bit cheap. We are not a waffle stand, we don't claim to sell Brussels or Liège waffles, we just make our vegan version and sometimes when people see it, they decide they don't want it because they were expecting something else. Once, someone came back to complain and I refunded with a smile. That could have happened with you as well, you know.
Finally, the bland taste. Well, let's not argue about taste. I just listen to the hundreds of satisfied customers who give positive feedback and all our regulars who keep coming back for more.
And I can handle negative comments, but at least make them constructive. Or do I have high expectations to ask that from a fellow vegan?
Kind regards, Tino
