Fish and "Chips" - Edit
A lovely place, located not far from the centre, right beside a public park. It serves a wide variety of English favourites and international cuisine, as well as smaller snacks, salads etc.
The staff were very friendly, especially 2 who asked me about my trip to Brighton and recommended some other local spots.
The fish and chips I ordered was good but could have been better. If a British favourite is on the menu then it should be served with proper chips rather than the little McDonalds style french fries I got. The peas also seemed as if they were just reheated canned peas. However, the fish and sauce were the best vegan versions I've ever tasted.
Pros: Great prices, Traditional food veganized, Lovely staff
Cons: Fish and chips needs real chips!, Panini was too simple

Loving the Hut - Edit
Visited on 04/09/16
Really enjoyed the vegan "chicken" nuggets and the girl behind the counter was very friendly! Good menu and a selection of groceries for sale. Had they not been frozen (had a long drive) I would have taken a bunch of bags of nuggets home with me!
Will definitely be back!
Pros: Friendly staff, Good, simple food

Loving the Loving Hut - Edit
You just can't go wrong when eating at Loving Hut. From Berlin to Brighton to Paris, I have been lucky to try a few of the international chains and the Brighton one is definitely up there. This was the first place myself and my wife went to when we arrived in Brighton and decided to get the the vegusto style hot dog and frankfurter style hot dog with fries, which were inexpensive. Delicious is word to best describe the food expecially the vegusto hot dog. So meaty. Located right next to the park I prefer this branch to the one in Gardener Street mainly because of the idyllic setting as you can sit outside and watch the world go by, or eat in the park.
Pros: 100% vegan, Location, Cheap

Great value vegan food - Edit
Been a few times now, it's near a play park at the fairly recently refurbished Level. The premises are quite small, but there is also seating outside which is great when the sun shines (there is a shade if it gets a bit too hot). Some lovely drinks and plenty of choices to tempt meat eaters (i.e. burgers, wraps etc). We particularly like the non burger items i.e. the vegan fish and chips which is excellent, the tofu stir fry was healthy and delicious and the nachos with chilli is especially good. We have enjoyed some of the other specials too (keep an eye out on their Facebook page) - they often do Sunday Roasts, fake steak/kidney pie, toad in the hole etc. Sometimes these have been 2 for 1 which is a complete steal. They also do a small children's menu as well. The sweet potato chips are great and good for our little one to nibble on. The cakes are delicious (the portions are huge) and they accommodate those who are gluten free as well. The staff are really friendly and helpful (e.g. we ask if they can serve our little one first as he has zero patience waiting for food!!!). We have been quite a few times and expect to continue to go regularly esp in the summer when it is fantastic to sit outside and watch the world go by.
Pros: Really good value, Huge portions of cake, Super friendly staff
Cons: Small space inside, Need a few more options with lots of veg

Fabulous! ❤️ - Edit
I have been here many times and I absolutely love the food! The range of food is brilliant. Today I had a burger with lots of greens in a wholemeal bun and it was really nice! I also love the loving hut salad with tofu, which is now called the "Jem" salad! The two ladies and young guy who served me were very friendly and accommodating! Lovely atmosphere and good zen vibes!
Pros: The gorgeous food, location and lovely staff!

Huge vegan variety - Edit
Everything here is vegan and there is lots of choice of hearty stodgy grub. Fish and chips, burgers, hot dogs etc. And nice looking cakes. The venue isn't great, it's basically a hut at the park, and very limited seating. The prices are good. If only they offered some healthier wholemeal burger bun options and more vegetables. The staff seemed a bit unfriendly but it didn't detract from the experience.

Great cafe! - Edit
Having recently turned vegetarian and hoping to be virtually vegan I used Happy Cow to find somewhere to eat on Sunday. This place looked like a good choice and when I got there I was delighted to see they had a Sunday Roast on offer. I couldn't believe all the yummy cakes and other things they offered and I'm looking forward to going back for more!!
Staff and other customers were lovely and the food was great.

English Classics Made Vegan!!! - Edit
This was awesome! I have been visiting Brighton for almost two seeks and ate here about 4 or 5 times. It is under new management who make a lot of their food from scratch, including home made cakes, pasties, sausage rolls, vegan burgers and a full-on English Sunday "roast" complete with Yorkshire pudding, etc. Another English classic that received rave reviews from my dining companions was the fish and chips.
During my many visits there, I tried the Sunday Roast (of course!), a veggie fish "burger" and a veggie chicken "burger (I would have called these last two sandwiches, but they were on burger buns), a falafel wrap with gluten free wrap, a sausage roll and a pasty. All were very good, including the gluten free wrap, which was so good, I could not tell it was gluten free.
Their buns are made by a local bakery, and were very good, and they do offer gluten free buns, but I did not try any of those.
They have an outdoor seating area and a cosy indoor area. They are also starting delivery service.
With the holidays ending and the rainy weather, they are doing more warming, comfort foods for their specials. I tried some of a friend's veggie cashew curry, which was good, and they were offering lasagne and macaroni and cheese, but I did not try those.
They also had some international flavors, including the falafel, some Mexican wraps, and a few scrambled tofu options for breakfast.
It has a good vibe and I really enjoyed myself there!
Pros: English classics made vegan! , Made from scratch cakes, burgers, etc. , Great taste!!!
Cons: Small indoor seating area.

Fantastic little vegan cafe! - Edit
This is a great cafe, i've eaten a lot off the menu and have been happy with every dish. I love the fact that there are so many gluten free options and that it's so clearly labelled. I think my current favourite is the g/f homemade spicy bean burger with wedges. The portion sizes are very good and good value too. The cafe itself is nicely light and it's run by friendly people. There are no toilets but there are some in the park just around the corner. My partners favourite is the big v deluxe burger (with crispy baco bits, 'cheese', mushrooms, dill pickle, lettuce, tomatoes) plus they regularly have specials, such a very tasty vegetable stirfry i had or a homemade pie my friend said was the best pie she'd had, macaroni cheese, the list goes on! Other menu options include smoothies, wraps, paninis, breakfasts ,salads, hotdogs, CAKES(!), etc.. A must visit if you come to Brighton.
Pros: All vegan really tasty food, Great value for good portions, Friendly

100% Yummy - Edit
It's under new management as the other people moved into town, it's more burger & less Asian food like before but that's fine with me, lots of different toppings, tasty wedges & kids portions which is always helpful - the new staff were really nice and friendly & it's in a great location being so close to the kids park (for us)
I had the Big V Deluxe but will be going back to try some of the other toppings, they all looked really tasty to me.
Pros: tasty food, kids meals , nice staff
Cons: need more drinks, but early days

BEAUTIFUL and Tasty! - Edit
The old mostly Chinese-food Loving Hut moved to the Brighton Laines, and new owners of this one have beautifully renovated the interior and offer a tasty Western style menu including all vegan pasta, burgers, panini, etc. they also have delicious vegan desserts including cheesecake which I've had twice and it's delicious. Highly recommended new vegan option in Brighton!
Pros: Tasty, Western food / New beautiful interior, affordable

Delicious food, friendly service, great prices! - Edit
We visited Loving Hut at The Level last week. It is under new management and has an extensive menu range with an excellent range of gluten free options. No less than eight different types of burgers (we tried tofu burger and the V Deluxe - both yummy), and several choices of paninis, wraps and other really delicious vegan food. The desserts are heavenly and again include gluten free/raw options. Good selection of smoothies and hot drinks. The prices are really reasonable and you leave feeling full and satisfied. The venue itself is very pleasant - inviting, nice decor, clean. The new managers are very friendly and all in all it's a very nice experience, great food and all for a very good price - definitely recommended.

Day out in Brighton - Edit
Went to the Loving Hut in Brighton yesterday! The one by the level skateboard park! When I went in this little cafe it was like Dr Who's Tardis! So roomy and clean. The staff were so polite and friendlly and even gave me some free Vegan Marshmellows to try. To cut a long story short, I picked a Deluxe Burger and Wedges of the extensive menu. I washed it down with a soya latte and a slice of Vegan Cheesecake like i've never had before. Yummy! I was so full when I walked out off there and the prices were very reasonable! Will definately be going back!
Pros: Big Portions & Great Food, Reasonably Priced, Very Friend Staff
Cons: None!

Absolutely yummy vegan food!! - Edit
This Hut is Under new management now.
The level Loving Hut offers a great range of vegan food and drinks and desserts.
I just had the most delicious vegan burger ever (and I've been vegan 14 years now, so that's saying something!)
I had it with skinny fries.
To finish up, I ate a delicious cheesecake slice and washed it down with a nice cup of earl grey.
So get out of the house/flat and get down to the level. The new Loving Hut there is fantastic!! And very reasonably priced too!

Tasty and affordable - Edit
This was the first Loving Hut I visited, so I don't have any comparison to other restaurants of this chain. It is located in a small hut, and the interior is very small, but there are a few tables. It is a counter service, but if you decide to eat in, they bring your order to you when you are sitting. There are breakfast meals, snacks and lunches available, as well as a selection of other vegan stuff such as chocolate bars and other sweets.
I had a vegetable curry and I liked it very much - it was delicious and a really large meal for such a small price. The seitan was perfect!
Pros: Tasty meals, Very affordable
Cons: Very small restaurant

Thank heavens! - Edit
This is the only vegan Chinese place that I found in the UK. There's probably something in London but I have ever found one anywhere else.
The food is just right. You can have tofu with any main dish. And I had tofu chocolate cheesecake for dessert.
It really hit the spot and I'll be returning often.

Not the best Loving Hut - Edit
Having experienced several Loving Huts already we knew that they can vary somewhat. Prague is the best so far. This Brighton one is more of a small diner, with not much choice, and with a weighting toward burger and chips fare. Still, it is relatively cheap and vegan.
Pros: cheap
Cons: lack of choice, fast foolish

Pleased to meet you, Loving Hut Brighton! - Edit
I was walking around Brighton and decided stop at the Loving Hut Cafe there.
The location is nice. it's in a square/park area. Inspiring.
the place is beautiful, the staff are fast, polite.
there, I order organic juice, with ginger. It was ALL i need for a long walking period in that city. The juice was so tasty and energizing.
Unfortunately I did not have time to stay and try their menu, but you can have an idea on what they sell there if you go the their website. I am sure all the food there taste good. I have visited different Loving Huts in different cities and countries, and they ALL sell tasty, vegan, loving, amazing food.
So please if you go to Brighton, which is a nice city in England, do miss visiting Loving Hut Cafe.
Pros: sell energizing, organic juice, nice location, friendly staff
Cons: no cons, no cons, no cons

Loved it! - Edit
We arrived here 15 minutes before closing time and I was really impressed. First impression was a really nice energy for a tiny little cafe. Very clean. The two ladies in there were very friendly and helpful, making a delicious order for us. Really felt like our food was made with love.
There is quite a lot of choice for somewhere so small... and fresh home baked vegan cake too.
I don't live in Brighton, but when I go back, I wouldn't hesitate to go here again.
Pros: 100% vegan, Delicious, super clean

Hutterly fantastic - Edit
This place might be small in stature but it's really big on flavour. It's also a little off the beaten track but it's well worth seeking out. We gorged ourselves on a mixture of dumplings, wontons, nuggets, a "not-dog", spring rolls, and other little treats. The food arrived pretty quickly and it was really tasty. The woman who served us - who owns the business with her family - was very friendly too.
And it's very reasonably priced. The two of us stuffed ourselves and had drinks; and it was about £15.
Though the cafe is small there's loads of seating outside if it's a nice day. You can also have takeaway - there's a little park right on the doorstep.
The only problem was that we were so distracted by how good the food was that we forgot to leave a tip. It'll be a pleasure to make up for our rudeness by taking another day trip to Brighton and going back to this lovely Loving Hut.
Pros: tasty, cheap, vegan
Cons: cash only

Loved it! - Edit
For a small cafe they offer a lot of choice. Mainly chinese/thai but also vegan hot dogs, burgers etc. Cakes, Tofutti Cuties, for pudding and great coffee.
We had Chunky Satay with tofu - good crunchy fresh veg and tasty sauce - and a platter which had sweet & sour soya balls, won tons, spring rolls and salad. Also tried their carrot cake which was amazing. A lovely rich carrot cake with thick creamy topping.
Reasonable prices: main dishes for about £4.70, cake £2.50.
Pros: All vegan, Price, Speed
Cons: Location

Delicious - Edit
It took about 10minutes to find, but when we finally did find the cafe, it was worth it.
Food here is amazing. This is the first place I've been to who have vegan sweet &sour chicken balls, and they tasted delicious.
There's a decent range of food to choose from; I was stuck for choice so ended up ordering four different things. Each tasted amazing. So good, I didn't want to leave!
The food is not expensively priced, and the staff are extremely friendly. Nice atmosphere in here. All vegans must visit at some point. This has to be the best vegan restaurant I've visited in England so far.
Pros: 100% Vegan, Delicious food, inexpensive
Cons: Partially hidden location

Wonderful place! - Edit
I know Loving Hut from the time that I spent in Vienna, Austria. My husband and I were thrilled to see that one has opened here as well. I know the staff as I come in at least 4 times a week and they are always lovely and friendly. The food is great and the store itself is cozy and warm.
Pros: Great food, Very good prices
Cons: limited selection

I love this hut - Edit
My son and I often go to the nearby playground, so we got a lovely surprise when Loving Hut opened. It's so nice not to have to check what's vegan.
The food (nearly all oriental) is excellent and good value. The staff are always cheerful and pleased to see you, even at the end of the day.
I cycle past on my way home from work and often stop for a hazelnut latte. In the summer it can be a sun-trap.
It's perfectly situated for all the veggies/vegans living on Muesli Mountain (Hanover, across the road).
My only worry is that it's often very quiet, so it can't be that profitable (...yet!)
Pros: 100% vegan, excellent food, friendly staff
Cons: religious propaganda (albeit discreet)

Nice little place - Edit
I work just around the corner from this place but because it's been changing owners and names about every 6 months in the past few years I haven't paid any attention to the latest change and assumed it was just another cafe selling meat. Until I found out about it on HappyCow. We were down there the next day eager to check it out. Cosy little place with inside and outside seating. Small, mainly Far Eastern menu with some British favourites thrown in, and really delicious! Especially their dumplings are to die for! And their prices are low as well. They sell vegan chocolate bars I could only find on the internet before, plus pre-made sandwiches, muffins and cakes. They have a small freezer with mostly ice-cream in it. Everything on the menu is also available for takeaway. There are vegan leaflets and literature available to take away or read while you're waiting. Other than this (and the TV) nothing indicates that this place is vegan and a chat with the owners revealed that this is on purpose. They don't want to scare away the majority of the public so they keep quiet about it and hope they will win them over with their food. We've been down there a few times every week since. A visit is highly recommended!
Pros: Cheap, Delicious food, Friendly staff

Great!!! - Edit
This is a tiny vegan place right near St. Peter's church, and has tables to sit outside in the sunshine. They have vegan television on, which at first was a bit strange and quirky, but it the place still won my heart. It's a small menu to choose from-which is good, because everything sounded so good I still couldn't choose. Had the sweet n sour "pork" with chow mein noodles. Was around 4 quid, and was totally delish!
Pros: cheap, all vegan, tasty
Cons: slightly limited seating
