Part of the fast growing vegan restaurants inspired by Supreme Master Ching Hai, an advocate for vegan living - this one est. 2013 in East Williamsburg. Serves vegan meals and desserts and non-alcoholic beverages. Menu offers a mix of American classics like vegan mac n cheese and burger with sweet potato fries with Asian style dishes like tofu spring rolls, wonton soup, seaweed cucumber salad, and stir-frys served with brown rice. Open Mon 4:00pm-9:30pm, Wed 4:00pm-9:30pm, Thu-Sat 12:00pm-9:30pm, Sun 4:00pm-9:30pm. Closed Tue.

The mama at front desk speaks Cantonese super friendly😄her food is amazing😄she has a Cherry tomato plants by her windows at the beginning I thought it was just a fake decorate but Omg it’s real cherry tomato😄so impressed😄I can just grow my cherry tomato in a pot indoor by the window too😄

I hate to leave a bad review but I’m not sure why this place has good ratings. The lady was sweet but the food wasn’t great. Ironically my non-vegan friends enjoyed their dishes more than me. The apps were alright (Rangoon, dumplings, soups, samosas) but the mains were not tasty or nice texturally. I guess the BBQ fried rice was OK but the sesame seitan was weird and not tasty. If you’re in the area and don’t have other options, stick to apps and fried rice. This place has been on my list for a while but I won’t be going back. It’s a pass from now on.

I agree. I’ve been to other Loving Huts like in San Francisco and somewhere else and it was amazing so I was looking forward to this one. And it was just awful. Went with a friend who also thought the food was awful.

I don’t like to give bad reviews, especially if its avoidable but this place done ppl wrong too many times. I truly believe the only reason they are still in business is cause vegan options are limited in the area and cause of their great doughnuts. I’ve ordered many many times here and have eaten in as well. There is truly always something wrong about either food or service. I don’t think when ordering delivery that my order was correct once (no joke), and I’ve ordered often due to lack of options. Food missing all the time (rude staff once you call about it ‘the kitchen doesn’t speak english, they don’t understand’ or ‘can you come get the donut that was missing from your order’), wrong items, or spilled all over the bag. Once we ate in, a dish was so over salted we had to send it back (I really hate doing that and avoid it unless it’s not eatable), once ordered iced coffee and got literally a tinted milk with coffee grounds in it. Barely a coffee, Like they only had a half shot of coffee from the bottom of the pot left. Gross, had to leave it. Overall seems like staff dgaf at all. I don’t recommend eating in as well if you can go elsewhere, the atmosphere/interior is terrible, not cozy at all. Definitely not a date spot!!! If you do want to eat here, order take out and check all of the food to make sure it’s there, otherwise you’ll be going back.

Usually in european Loving Hut you get the buffet and optionaly you can order from the menu. In this venue there was just the menu and it had great choices. I got the lunch special that came with a soup and my fiance got the burger with sweet potato fries and both were delicious. Really friendly staff who chatted with us about our country and veganism.

We had a wonderful experience. There were 6 non-vegans with me. The food was delicious- our favorites were the Pad Thai, dumplings, Traditional fried rice, BBQ seitan, stuffed eggplant, and Singapore Mei Fan. The owner, Lisa, was wonderful. Would definitely come back again!

The food was bad. I ordered mac n cheese and it looked like a soup. I ordered a sandwich— it was bad. I got guac and chips (you can’t mess up guacamole), it was so bitter and old. save your money folks.

I have been to a lot of Loving huts: in Canada, Korea, Poland, etc.
Read moreNot all are on the same level but the one in Brooklyn was a nice experience. I had the Classic Mac and Cheese, one of the few "American" options on the menu. The rest is similar to the others locations: currys, rolls, dumplings, soups, sautéed vegetables, etc.
It was very good. I also got complimentary jasmine tea. And the staff was really nice!
Edit 11-19:
Adding a star to my previous review. I had 3 appetizers and all of them were very good! Staff was a bit overwhelmed and notmore complimentary tea but the food was fresh, filling and the prices fair. Will go back!

I’ve been a fan since this place was on 7th Ave in midtown Manhattan. I recently visited this restaurant and got the hamburger, mixed fries, Thai iced tea, and Mac and cheeseburger. This place has the best vegan Mac and cheese! The prices are very reasonable. The server I encountered was very conscientious and accommodating. Highly recommend!
