Ok

Pros: 100% vegan, Nettes Personal , Es gibt Trinkwasser umsonst

Cons: Momos und French Fry sind aus der Tiefkühltruhe, Sehr ungemütlich und lieblos eingerichtet

Amazing all vegan restaurant

This entirely vegan restaurant is our favourite place to eat in Kathmandu. Our favourite dishes include the seitan fried fried rice, the seitan sadeko, the fish sticks, and the mushroom pagoda sticks. It’s great to see a few decent desserts on the menu here too.

The staff here are lovely and are clearly passionate about veganism and the food they serve. The prices are also very reasonable. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Pros: Delicious Food, Great Service, All Vegan

Vegan Heart of Kathmandu

We could not believe our luck, when we discovered that Loving Heart, was a just few minutes’ walk from our hotel.

During our three visits, we ate the following dishes: Seitan chowmein, Seitan sadeko (a vegan take on a Nepalese speciality), Seitan fried rice, fish sticks, tofu sticks and mushroom pakoda (mushrooms in chickpea flour batter).

For us, the Seitan sadeko and fish sticks were a particular favourite, and it was great to have the opportunity to sample some local flavours, safe in the knowledge that everything was 100% vegan. There are so many items on the menu that we have yet to try, including several types of momo, ginger fish gravy and pizza.

Lovely, lovely people too!

Pros: Delicious Nepalese specialities, Excellent value for money, Lovely people

100% Vegan!

Nice bonus to find a fully vegan place in Kathmandu. We had the seitan noodle dish which was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful. A plus to have fake meats to get that substantial protein hit!

Pros: 100% Vegan, reasonably priced, fake meats

Cons: lacking an atmosphere

Only 100% Vegan restaurant in Kathmandu

Creamiest and tastiest Vegan ice cream in Kathmandu!!

Wide range of selection - everything from seitan to tofu to vegan ham cheese pizza to vegan gulab jamun (an incredibly hard Indian dessert to veganize), you name it they have it. Must visit for Vegans visiting Nepal! The owners are Vegan and super friendly folks.

Hit & miss

Ate here twice mostly out of convenience, as it was directly across from our hotel. Awesome to find a fully vegan place in Kathmandu, but food was up and down and took a long time (the pizza was an hour).

- Ham & cheese pizza had a sickly sweet base, way too sugary and weird. Also took forever as mentioned. 3/10
- Khana set was really tasty especially the seitan sadeko part, would have the sadeko again by itself. Favourite dish I tried here. 8/10
- Seitan chow mein a bit dry and the seitan bits were super crispy verging on burnt. Was served with ketchup on the side which was weird. 6/10
- Chilli seitan, delicious! 8/10
- Momos fine, not the best we’ve had 6/10

Cold food

After waiting for 25 minutes we got a starter. Waiter completely forgot about the drinks we ordered.
Then after I complained about the long waiting time, we finally got the main course, which was a plater of food. Unfortunately most of it was already cold, dry and not tasty. We decided not to eat the main. We were still charged service.

Pros: None

Cons: Expensive, Cold, Not tasty

Simply delicious

All sorts of creative vegan dishes, including breakfast and deserts. I never thought I’d find seitan here and it was delightful. Also, the staff were really kind.
The only thing is that I specifically asked for non spicy dishes as I’m very sensitive, and it was very spicy, so if you’re also sensitive make sure to let them know.

Simply awesome!

Great way of exploring traditional Nepalese kitchen while staying vegan on holidays!:)
The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly, always made sure we were happy.
The food is really delicious, a great thing to try is the "group package" and the Momo's. With these 2 dishes you will have a bit of everything!
The rooftop is also really nice and peaceful:)
Highly recommend!

A home away from home

We found this place difficult to spot! But once inside were so well looked after, being ushered to the table under the heater and given glasses of warm water in rainy Kathmandu. Momo soup is gorgeous, and I will be going back for more. The cheesecake is I think constantly changing but nonetheless marvellous. Staff are very sweet. It is inexpensive, but not terribly cheap, you pay for quality and health!

Thank you Loving heart

100% vegan and AMAZING food

We love everything about this place. Realy friendly staff (once you make an effort to connect). Delicious food - particularly the mushroom pokora which is devine! Momos and other dishes are also amazing. A nice mix of mock meats and veg. A lot of local food inspired by the international chain of restaurants called Loving Hut.

Pros: 100% Vegan, Amazing food!, Passionate staff

Cons: Over-ordering as it's so good!

Good food, average service

Good range of Nepalese and Western food. The food is tasty, but takes AGES to prepare. The kitchen is small, but for a place that only seats a few groups at a time service is very slow. We went for breakfast one morning and there were 2 other people- it took 35minutes for my sister to be brought a bowl of cereal with some fruit.

The most amazing place I've been during my month in Nepal! So much good things to eat and some surprising preparations and seasonings. Lots of gluten free option and of course everything is plants based. I will never thanks enough the entire staff for their kindness and hard work 💜 The place is mentionned in this french article about nepal: https://www.laventurevegetale.fr/le-nepal/
