Excellent healthy vegan - Edit
Our best vegan experience in Chicago, and the least pretentious. We all ordered different bowls, each one delicious. Mine was filled with chunks of sweet potatoes, garbanzos, and avocado with lots of greens and rice. Low-key friendly service in a quiet cafe.

I finally got the chance to go to Loving Heart Cafe and my expectations were exceeded.
Read moreI arrived right when they were closing (Oops! Don't rely on Google close times like I did.) But the owner said no problem and took my order. I had the Buddha Bowl (to go). It was very tasty and the perfect portion size.
I'm looking forward to future trips to Loving Heart.

I went there today (Monday) at 11:30 and nobody there. Update the opening times, it makes me mad when I'm standing- hungry, not to say starving- in front of a closed cafe and came a long way especially for eating there. Very bad!

I was reminded today that it has been too long since my last visit here. I really appreciated the attention to detail in my meal. I got the Buddha Bowl with portobello. It tasted as good as it looked and it seemed to be a very nutritious meal. Kind staff too!

From the freshly prepared delicious wrap, to bowls, smoothies and wow desserts, we are happy we found this place. The staff is so helpful & fun. Simple decor is comfortable neighborhood place with cookbooks, etc. homey. Carry out too.

Read moreNow, by American standards this is a 5 stars place, and just about the only place I’ve been, where they just use real, tasty and fresh ingredients with balanced, good tastes.
I’ll be back to try it again and see, if it’s even better next time around. Definite recommendation!

The first word that comes to mind with Loving Heart is comforting. Their potato soup is light but tasty and all of their food is very healthy. You can get everything here guilt-free, and the portions are generous and filling.

This petite restaurant serves up some big and delicious vegan fair. I had the Corazón Quesadilla which surprisingly delighted in both flavor and texture. The atmosphere is lovely - books and games available. The only downside is that it takes some time for the food to be made since it is mostly made from scratch and there is only one person working. I definitely recommend and will be back if I’m in the neighborhood!

This is a great new vegan restaurant. There are a lot of great options on the menu and I ended up ordering more than I could eat in a setting. First off, the green tea offered was pretty good (came in a packet though). The spring rolls were also super tasty and had some seitan inside of them, though I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce that accompanied the rolls. The burger was good too, but average.

Favorite Chicago Joint - Edit
I’ve loved Loving Heart since before I was vegan! They have such nourishing food and smoothies (love the Green Deva Salad, the burger, and the Coconutty Smoothie) and even more importantly the staff here are truly loving! I always have the warm fuzzies interacting with them.
