Simply incredible - Edit
Huuuge range of pastries, cakes and sandwiches. We got a bit over excited and ordered about ten things to try, plus coffee.
Read moreThere is only outdoor seating, but they have gazebos to cover. They also only do takeaway cups so bring your own if you don't want the single-use ones.
We had a black forest gateau croissant, butternut squash tart, garlic focaccia, Christmas "turkey" sandwich, giant sesame and choc cookie, two Snickers croissants and a delicious long savoury cheesy pastry. Everything was sublime!!
If you haven't been here, definitely go!
Pros: Huge range, Absolutely delicious, All vegan!!

Fantastic selection of pastries, good experimental flavours. I don't even like croissants, but their stuffed croissants changed my mind completely!
Read moreTheir sandwiches have always been lovely and aren't always based on fake meat which is great to see.

I want to be buried with this bagel - Edit
Popped to Rita’s Bakehouse for a bagel with my brother (a person who eats meat on occasion)
Read moreWe both got the bagel of the day which was tofu (with some other bits I can’t remember oops) but it was incredible. The bagel itself was soft and fluffy but had a great outside texture. The fillings worked so well together, the tofu was perfectly seasoned and was complimented by the sauce and salad.
My brother talked about the bagel often after we had it and we are planning on visiting again and trying more!
Pros: Amazing bagels , Lots of options, Cool vibe

I have visited Rita's bakehouse a few time now. The quality of the pastries is amazing. There isn't lots of choice, but is that a bad thing? The pistachio filled croissant was my favorite. They are quite expensive, but as a treat its okay.

I haven't been able to have a pistachio croissant since going vegan 5 years ago... until I visited Lovely Rita's & it was everything I wanted it to be. Also had one of their vegan sandwiches, which was also lush. I will be back !

One of the best bakeries in the north - Edit
Love it in here. There's a huge variety of bakes, mostly sweet with some savoury, the sandwiches are so good when they're on and the barista drinks are top quality. The bakes are not cheap but you get a lot for your money and you can tell your non-vegan friends "you can't tell they're vegan".
Read moreThey also supply a lot of places in Sheffield with their vegan bakes so if you're out and the vegan croissant's really good, it might well be Rita's.

I'm wildly in love with the beautiful baked goods at Lovely Rita's Bakehouse. I tried the Snickers Croissant (epic!) and the almond chocolatini (stunning) but best of all was the HUGE delicious pistachio croissant. I need to go back very soon and try everything else!

Lovely indeed! - Edit
I’ve wanted to visit for sometime and luckily finally got around to it today. I would recommend going early as they do sell out, a good sign that the products are delicious! I had a lemon cheesecake croissant, my friend opted for the same it looked that good, and we enjoyed those out in the courtyard where bench seating and tables are provided. The pastry was so light and flaky, the creamy lemon cheesecake filling absolutely scrumptious. Of course I was going to takeaway some treats too! The lemon and raspberry swirl was enjoyed by my daughter and the pain au chocolat I have to look forward to for brekkie tomorrow. Highly recommend visiting, the pastries are excellent. They also sell drinks, coffee, savoury pastries and fresh bread. No indoor seating area, shop itself is quite small. There is a communal toilet in the courtyard area, but if you like clean loos I would give this one a miss. On street parking.

Flavourful treats - 4.5 stars - Edit
Got a sourdough loaf, almond croissant and a ginger cupcake with lime frosting (I think, can't remember the whole name).
Read moreSourdough loaf has a thin and crisp outer exterior, the interior is doughy, partner loves it, I just liked the crusts.
Almond croissant is very strong in flavour, it's lovely, almost syrupy sweet, it is oily though and the inside had some filling, maybe marzipan - we did not like that, the exterior of the croissant and the almond flavour were the best elements.
The cupcake was the best out of the three - it's a heavy and dense cupcake but it tasted great, loved the flavours throughout.

Love coming here for my weekly loaf and treats.
Read moreToday we swapped out the usual sour dough loaf and took away a sweeter bread loaf, looking forward to trying that later.
We had a savoury treat each for brunch:
B had a cheese and onion tart = very tasty and looked good. I had a cheese and marmite swirl = delicious, loved it.
Dessert later on at home was the ginger cake, and a lemon and raspberry swirl. We shared these two = proper ginger cake, dark and tasty; the L&R swirl was a gorgeous colour inside, zesty and fresh.
