Best pizza I’ve ever had - Edit
This was the best pizza my roommate and i have ever had. We ordered the Mac & Cheese Jalepeno Poppers, Hot Honey & Pineapple Pizza, Roasted Garlic Diablo, Bacon Cheeseburger, and The Mac & Cheese Pizza. After every bite we were in awe. So much flavor in every bite - I’m not usually a crust person but the bread was so chewy and perfect. If you like pizza, you NEED to try this place.

Amazing pizza and appetizers!!! - Edit
The pizza was delicious and quite spicy. The poppers were really flavorful and the house made cashew sauces on top were perfection. I highly recommend this place.

Incredible pizza by the beach! - Edit
We have been eating Love Amaro back when he was doing pop ups and I have to say he has perfected his pizza over the years.
Read moreOther people are complaining about 'weird' toppings but I think the pizza combos he's come up with are very impressive. Last night we had our classic Pepperoni which is I think the best slice he has, slight crispy crust and bottom which is perfect pizza in my opinion. And the for the first time we tried the Cheeseburger pizza and I was blown away. It even had sesame seeds on the crust!
I regard Love Amaro and Cruzer pizza as the 2 best vegan pizzas in LA. We've also had Pizzanista and Purgatory vegan pizzas but they aren't in the same league.
I think my top choices for vegan pizza in the US are Love Amaro, Cruzer Pizza, Virtuous Pie (PDX), Screamers Pizza (NYC), and Possum Pizza (ATX).
The reviews here for Amaro are definitely not from true vegan pizza connoisseurs. His pizza is worth the trek to Venice Beach and to deal with the Venice Beach craziness and dirtiness.

Pros: Perfect blend of crispiness and softness, Amazing options including Cheeseburger pizza, Large slices
Cons: Venice beach dirtiness, Sides are okay

Strange offerings but mostly good - Edit
My boyfriend loved their pizza but I found it to have a slight spice. Their mac and cheese was great! And their garlic knots were PHENOMENAL. I wasn’t a fan of how they did mozz sticks, they were more like mozz clubs.

Good pizza but that’s it - Edit
My partner and I have been wanting to try Love Amaro for a while so we made the trek from Burbank to Venice on a Sunday night. We ordered a slice of the hot honey pizza, a slice of the bacon cheeseburger pizza, the tikka masala knots, and the mozzarella sticks. We waited a whole hour for our order at a dirty table with a speaker directly in our faces. When the food came, it was VERY impressive looking. Huge portions. The pizza was yummy 3/5. Great flavor but too many toppings for what the slice could handle, half my pizza slid off the crust. We had high hopes for the knots, one of the reasons we came. Unfortunately they were so salty we couldn’t even eat them. I took them back and got a refund. Also, it’s just fried dough balls. As for the mozzarella sticks, more fried dough. Really heavy and unappealing. The marinara they give you on the side was okay, but the ranch was spoiled. Took one bite and almost spit it out. Disgusting. Oh and to top it off, they were out of all the drinks. Everyone was pissed about the wait times. A family who came after us had to request a refund. Yes, they have a sign to “be patient” but to avoid upsetting people, they should let patrons know up front how long the wait time will be and send a text when their order is ready so they don’t have to hang out on this dingy corner for an hour.

Always amazing - Edit
They are always so nice there and the food is amazing! $7-$8 a slice and they’re huge!! I got the Parmesan onion rings this time too and they were so good. I also need to find out where to get the Happy Pop energy drink they have bc that was also fire! 🔥👊🏽

Very inventive menu… - Edit
This is a small pizza joint on the Venice boardwalk. They have a very interesting menu of pizzas. I tried the Muscle Beach Supreme and the Dirty Mac n Cheese which were both good. I have to say there is definitely something special about their crust. It’s quite crispy in a very good way. Only drawbacks about this place is that the service is quite slow and there is very limited seating in front of the ordering counter, so just expect to pick up your pizza and find a shady spot to enjoy.

Must Visit! - Edit
I’ve been wanting to visit Love Amaro for some time and finally got the chance this LA trip. Ordered a few pieces and enjoyed the Korean bbq Italian kiss the most. The pizza was cooked to perfection. It was also very dense with plenty of yummy toppings. I HIGHLY recommended you pay this place a visit. #Veganuary

Best Vegan Pizza Slot - Edit
It’s a hole in the wall, or technically a slot in the wall. A slot that is just big enough for the massive 20” vegan pizzas in a box. If you spent time in solitary confinement you may have PTSD, but the rest of us will just love the amazing vegan pizzas. The garlic knots are also good (despite a lack of knot-I-ness).
Read morePros: It’s all vegan, The pizza is great.
Cons: Everyone in Venice will ask you for a slice.

A variety of pizzas and other dishes. One of the best pizzas I had. The Corn Dog as well as the Donuts are great. Everything is freshly made after ordering, so take a bit of time.

Too good - Edit
We got way too much food here because the options were so good! Tried the jalapeno/mac and cheese poppers, wings, corn dog and the pepperoni ranch pizza. The wings were the tastiest I've ever had! Love the pickled chilis they put on top of everything too, as they cut through all the bread and cheese

Totally Amazing - Edit
This place is super cute! We listened to a live DJ while eating some very delicious pizza. We used a Instagram code to get 4 slices for a discount. I wish I lived next to it.

AWESOME! - Edit
Huge menu with HEAPS of options. The Korean Italian pizza was an absolute stand out, and the jalapeño mac and cheese poppers were fantastic.
Read moreOnly downside is that there's a non vegan seafood place next door, and their patrons sit at the seating outside, which kinda sucks for vegans (especially because it smells)
Pros: 100% vegan, Well priced, Large portions
Cons: Not alot of seating, Patrons from other restaurants eat at the tables

Wild Pizzas - Edit
I really enjoyed trying some of Love Amaro's wild pizza creations. Toppings are unconventional and a bit crazy, and pair perfectly with the dough, that tastes like it's from a classic Italian pizzeria. The slices are pretty big and good value. The place was supposed to open at 2 pm, but we waited until 2:30 pm without anyone showing up or any information. We ended up leaving and came back later when it finally opened.

Quite Literally a Hole in the Wall - Edit
Undoubtedly the best vegan pizza you’ll find in SoCal (probably). You’ll have a tough time even telling it’s vegan. They don’t advertise the pizza as vegan, so most people that walk past probably think it’s a regular pizza.
Read moreI tried three of their pizzas: the regular cheese, the garlicky one, and the hot honey pizza. All three were amazingly decadent and full of flavor! The garlic was a little too decadent and there were way too many garlic gloves, not that that’s an issue. The hot honey was just incredible. Sweet, spicy, and savory. Just be prepared to get acid reflux because the pizzas are VERY greasy.

This is such a great spot, it’s worth making the trip to Venice just to eat here.
