Vegan menu in the middle of nowhere!

We were desperately looking for a vegan-friendly meal in eastern France, whilst far from large cities. We called this restaurant and made a reservation and they were happy to create a 3 course vegan meal for us. It was delicious, everything was made fresh by the chef, who came out to greet us upon arrival and list the menu for us. He was very kind, and he and his wife own and run the place. She informed us that they are happy to adapt their menu for vegetarians&vegans, they appeared quite knowledgeable. They appreciated having a reservation to have time to plan a menu, but said they could accommodate walk-ins. The appetizer was a delicious salad with marinated local red radishes and other greens. The main meal was a squash based puree with sauteed vegetables, and dessert was a lovely fruit salad. The food was simple, but tasty, and after researching dozens of restaurants and being told at many that everything was cooked in butter, it was refreshing to be welcomed at this place.
We recommend and would eat here again if in the area! Though definitely try to call ahead for the best experience possible.
