Tasty!!

Pleasantly surprised at the vegan options. Tried the vegan tofu pesto scramble and it was delish!! Other options to try on my next visit !

Pros: Several vegan options

Cons: A bit pricey but not for the area.

Vegan “scramble” available

There is a pesto vegan scramble available. The tofu is cubed, not really scrambled. Choice of black beans or hash browns. Muffin (vegan earth muffin available) or toast. Ask them not to serve the butter with the muffin/toast. Acceptable breakfast option in “downtown” Hanover.

Nice american stile restaurant

It is a nice and friendly restaurant. The food was a bit oily but good. There are not so many vegetarian choices to and most of them contain egg.

Pros: friendly

Cons: less choices, food whit egg is marked as vegetarian

Pastry Heaven

Lou's is a true Gem of Hanover. This cozy little diner offers a wide assortment of pastries as well as a lengthy breakfast type menu.
Their selection of baked goods is amazing, and though they only offer three vegan options, all three are absolutely delicious. These would be the Vegan Nirvana cookie--a soft pumpkin spice cookie with nuts, chocolate, and a bunch of other goodies that make it live up to its name; The Vegan Breakfast Cookie--a soft GF cookie with oats, banana, and coconut that is not too sweet and thus perfect for breakfast; and Earth Muffins--the most amazing muffins you will ever try. They are a sort of glorified carrot muffin featuring a bunch of other delicious ingredients like nuts, poppy, oats, bran, etc. Although vegan, they are not labeled as such for some reason. My favorite Lou's pastry.
Aside from baked goods, Lous' features a very ample menu with many breakfast and lunch options. At Lou's breakfast is served all day, so this is the perfect place for lovers of breakfast foods. As far as vegan options go, the menu offers fresh fruit, oatmeal, Lou's own recipe of a hearty breakfast porridge, a veggie burger, and a falafel sandwich. Many options on the menu are labeled as "veggie," which I do believe means they can be adapted for vegans.
Overall, this place is amazing and a definite must if you're in the area.

Pros: Amazing Pastries, Huge Menu, Nice ambiance

Cons: Few vegan options, crowded
