Nice place shame about the food - Edit

This is a lovely restaurant and bar on the river in Hertford. A great place for a drink but we were disappointed with our food from their vegan menu. The big breakfast came with two eggs on the plate and it was pretty amazing that the chef and the waiting staff didn’t realise that eggs aren’t vegan. They happily changed it for me but the meal was still below par. The mushrooms were cold and the smallest portion of baked beans I’ve ever seen. We sent back a side order of chips as they were also cold. In the plus side the staff were friendly and portions (apart from the beans) were generous. So perhaps we were unlucky. We would still return for another try as the venue is very nicely situated.

Pros: Venue, Decor, Decent vegan menu

Cons: Poor food on our visit , Being asked why I was vegan. Was I allergic!?

Range of options and dog friendly - Edit

This is a lovely Cafe by the river in Hertford. They offer a vegan menu on request and have a large variety of options. I had the vegan breakfast and it was lovely. It was easy to customize as I removed the vegan bacon as I am not a big fan of "fake meat". I also got an iced macha latte which was well made and they offer a good amount of vegan milk options. This Cafe is dog friendly but can get quite busy and loud during lunch. There is lots of outdoor seating available. 😊🌱
