Welcoming to vegetarians - Edit
Louie's is making a huge effort to be veg-friendly -- the new menu has V next to vegetarian dishes, and many of these can be made vegan. The staff is very friendly and accommodating -- always happy to answer questions and to help turn a dish vegan when possible.
Louie's is located in Ashland's Plaza and has a beautiful, dark-wood interior with a beautiful bar. The outdoor creekside patio is sprawling and a lovely place to dine in good weather.
Both the atmosphere and food at Louie's is fun and casual. There are many vegetarian options on the menu, fewer vegan-only items. The Thai peanut wrap is the best vegan dish on the menu. The Vegetarian Recession Burger can easily be made vegan, and the chili is also vegan.
Louie's is known for its mojitos, but the martinis are also fantastic.
With only a few places in Ashland that are veg- and vegan-friendly, Louie's is a great option.
