Great variety but not worth the price

I was there for the asian weekend buffet. The place is cozy and ambiance is great. Busy but not loud.
They had a large variety of sg dishes like laksa curry puff nasi lemak... all of which were okay, but nothing really amazed me.
For 30sgd... not worth it. You can find better stuff in hawker centres. But for groups its a good place to eat

Pros: Large variery, nice ambiance

Cons: Expensive

Best Vegetarian Buffet

The best buffet in Singapore with lots of varieties. Ideal to bring overseas friends to try our vegetarian food.

Pros: Lots of choices

Cons: It gets too crowded at times.

Wide variety of buffet food

Here are my favourites from the buffet spread:
- The whole dim sum area, including the vegetable dumplings & steamed pumpkin cake
- Green Bean Nonya Kueh (more of a tasty savoury-sweet pastry XP)
- Laksa (wasn’t spicy and was made with coconut milk :) I mixed it with the fish porridge which made a tasty concoction hoho)
- Morindae Radix Eucommia Soup (it had dong gu / chinese mushrooms)
- Chinese Yam (Huai Shan) with Passionfruit Sauce
- Salmon: didn’t taste like salmon, but the texture was somewhat like fishcake which I liked :)
- Mini red bean pau (it was of the normal standard but I like red bean so :3)

Pros: Wide variety of cuisines

Cons: Vegan options are not labelled

Favourite buffet in a long time

Having tried the other vegetarian buffet in singapore, I have to say this is so much better! There was a large spread of food available, such that I was super spoilt for choice, and everything was at least decent quality, with the dimsum surpassing many of those I tried outside. Especially after experiencing immense disappointment with vegetarian siew mais. I especially loved the appetisers and freshly cooked vegetables, which were gone within minutes and constantly replenished such that they remained warm even when left without heat (thus no overheating). The availability of large tables also meant that this place is great for large group gatherings during occasions such as family dinners.

Do remember to check if the items are vegan, as some of my friends made the mistake of consuming multiple servings of pumpkin salad before realising that it was mixed with yogurt, and having mashed potato before realising there was butter.

Pros: Great spread, Good quality, Quick and constant replenishment

Cons: servers may not be clear about what contains dairy

Nice food

Buffet looked good, but were probably too late for that. One of our dishes was named haory mushrooms, but don't think they were mushrooms, though they were tasty!

Peace ...

Buffet @ Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant

Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant is situated in the Quality Hotel near Novena. I have been there many years back and recently, we heard about this restaurant from few friends. So, we decided to bring our new vegetarians friends to try their cuisine.

We went there twice within few weeks to taste the Asian Buffet and the Steamboat Buffet. The food here is nothing fancy, but it is full of simple things that are perfect for buffet lover!

When we were there for the Asian Buffet on a weekend, the place was full! We were glad that we did make a reservation before heading there. Besides, the wide range of dishes, there were salad bar, dessert, a good variety of drink option, Japanese sushi, Dim Sum, few varieties of soups and other local and Taiwan favorities like vegetarian laksa, vegetarian congee, vegetarian chicken rice and the like. Pretty impressed with the diversity of the buffet menu.

As for the Steamboat Buffet @ S$19.80++ which only served on weekday (Mon-Thur). You get to taste some Dim Sum, salad, Japanese sushi, dessert etc. Quite a good buffet spread!

Delicious!!!

Little pricey but excellent taste and variety. I prefer the steamboat buffet over the asian buffet.

Pros: tasty, much variety

Cons: pricey, inconvenient location if no car., too cold

For the steamboat buffet, you have a choice between 2 pots of soup broths...a vegetable one and/or a spicy one. It cooks right at your table so it stays nice and hot the whole time. And then at the buffet line, you have all sort of "seafood" selections to choose from to cook in your pot, as well as all sort of vegetables, won tons, noodles, etc. Make sure you make a reservation before you go. Last time I went, that was a new requirement. Enjoy!
