We stopped by Lotus passing through on a road trip home. We will definitely be back. Lots of vegan options, and the portions where generous. Which works well for us as we are a family of five.

Great food and DESSERT - Edit
This is my number one place to go when I’m treating myself. They have several great vegan options for appetizers, entrees, and even desserts. (Its so rare to find a restaurant with vegan desserts in Wichita!) It’s always hard for me to choose because I love all of the vegan food on the menu. The caulipower and quezo are probably my favorites, and the cheesecakes are so freaking good.

Traveling through Kansas seemed a little daunting as a family of 4 vegans (two young vegans) as far as food choices go. We stopped in a town where it was challenging to find food at the grocery store! Passing through Wichita we found this little gem. There were so many vegan options it was hard to pick, so we didn’t and got one of everything! And boy, that food was INCREDIBLE! The Kale salad was fresh and delicious w a tangy lemon vinaigrette. The tacos are HUGE and full of yummy raw cabbage and greens w a delicious bean taco “meat” filling in a yummy GF soft taco shell (it actually stayed together and didn’t break-huge for GF). The cauliflower wings were the best I’ve had, perfect crunch and no sogginess. The red pepper “queso” dip was so creamy and rich-also delicious if poured on the taco. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and totally on top of it! We had a guy, I think his name was Ceb, and he made the meal just that much better! At the end, as full as we were, vegan chocolate cheezecake was too hard to pass, and a perfect ending to a perfect meal. If we are ever back here again, we will definitely be returning!

I really wanted to like it, but honestly it's just okay. I had a black bean burger with sweet potato chips. The food was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. They have a different dinner menu so perhaps they would shine more there. The service was slow and a little rude so that may have been the biggest turn off. That said, if you are stuck in Wichita's old town area and lacking mobility this may be worth a shot.

This place has some really excellent dishes! My favorite is the cauliflower wings. Last time I was in, I had the zucchini noodles with red peppers sauce which was good. I travel to Wichita on business frequently and I come here each trip.

I'm in town for business, and decided to try this place out. I am vegan and gluten-free. I was able to order an appetizer, entree, and dessert. They also serve wine and beer with several gluten-free options on both lists. I have a couple more business trips in the area scheduled in the coming months, and I will definitely be back. I've included photos of the menu, wine and beer lists, and each dish I ordered. I had the quezo for my appetizer, the crepe betterrave for the entree, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. I also had the Pinot grigio, which was great.

I’ve come here dozens of times while living in Wichita and I’ve tried everything on their vegan menu. The portion sizes are amazing, and they always have a rotating raw vegan cheesecake flavor. Every time I try a different cheesecake flavor it’s delicious and fresh tasting. I particularly love the quezo, the buffalo cauliflower, the buffalo cauliflower salad, and the vegan tacos (add the vegan ranch to those!). This is the perfect place to go with others that aren’t vegan. I wish they were fully vegan, I’m sure the menu would be amazing.

My mom and I were in Wichita. I'm vegan and she's "flexitarian". We decided to try Lotus Leaf for lunch. We both enjoyed their soup du jour- beet, sweet potato and ginger soup with a lemon tahini drizzle. It was so delicious we got another soup to go for lunch the next day. I also ordered the original kale salad that was not only beautiful but a perfect balance of sweet, savory and acid. Mom and I enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for dinner and enjoyed the veggie tacos. I definitely recommend Lotus Leaf Cafe!
