Disappointing - Edit
After reading the previous reviews I was excited to try their falafel or (vegetable) veggie burger. Unfortunately they no longer carry either item but instead have Beyond and Impossible. That's a great optoin for omnivores or plant based eaters who like the taste of meat, but as a Vegan that doesn't do much for me. They have the items that are supposed to be Vegan marked on the menu which included their mushroom stew, fries, chips, and a side of veggies. I opted to try their homemade chips and a side of veggies which that day was carrots. Again the vegetable side on the menu has (vegan) written after it, yet when the side came out it clearly looked and smelled like it had butter on it. I asked about it and they confirmed it was dairy butter. I had to send it back and ask for it without butter.

Getting Beyond Burger! - Edit
They are getting the Beyond Burger! They currently have about 10 items listed as vegan or “can be made vegan”. Happy to see vegan options listed on the menu in the Coal Region. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. Unique coal miner themed atmosphere. Can’t wait for them to start serving the Beyond Burger!

Not bad for a first attempt. - Edit
We have visited the Lost Mined three times in the last two months. There aren't many vegan options in this area so we try to support any business that offer them. Their Miners Stew is a great hearty stew and their vegetarian (vegan) burger is also really good. Their falafel was dry on our first visit but was greatly improved on our last visit. If their staff doesn't have an answer to a question they graciously will find the answer.
