Tasty! - Edit

I tried curry wrap with fresh vegetables and it was amazing. The wrap was quite big and worth the money. Also they provide veganism by giving away stickers and booklets about animal abuse.

Pros: Tasty , Nice location , Outdoor sitting available

Delicious but pricey - Edit

The food is super good, but the portions are so small and therefore (unfortunately) not worth the money. The cakes and desserts are more reasonably priced.

Pros: All vegan, Lots of different baked goods to choice from, Tasty

Cons: Lunches are expensive, Small portions, Lunch deal does not include coffee

I do love Los Vegos - Edit

As a local I do really like Los Vegos. As the only vegan place in Uppsala it’s making a huge effort. The food has always been tasty as well as the sweets and pastries. The staff is the most friend people in a cafe you can meet in town. The kitchen do experiment a lot with different menys so it is always a suprise what they offer. They also make cakes and catering. But they food is very expensive and you don’t get so much on your plate and it is a few times I have leaves this place still hungry. And they only offer food as lunch time and not in the evening. I like to pop in for some tea and sit with my computer with a nice cheesecake. If you want to stop by for a fika Los Vegos is perfect but not for lunch. It is a really friendly place worth a visit if you are a visiting vegan in Uppsala.

Pros: Friendly staff, Cozy environment , well tasting food

Cons: Pricy, Small, Not so much food on your plate

favourite place in Uppsala - Edit

I tried it the other day for some coffee and cakes. Really liked the atmosphere. Friendly staff and good cookies and cakes. I ordered a capuccino and was able to refill with regular coffee without paying extra.

Try their mouthwatering cakes! - Edit

Cozy, charming place serving super tasty daily changing cakes, snacks and 2 meals (e.g.burgers). They always have traditional Swedish cakes (e.g. kanelbullar, princess cake, punshrulle) and I further tried carrot cake, oreo cake, cheese cake, chocolate cake.... All of them were super delicious. For warm drinks you can choose between different vegan milk alternatives. Coffee can be refilled. They further offer a large choice of softdrinks (juice, lemonade, spritzer). Staff takes their time with the order, asks for personal preferences (e.g. more or less sugar and chocolate in your drink) and is very friendly. Altogether it's a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

Good food but pricey - Edit

The food at Los Vegos is nice but the portions are small. The size of hot drinks is very small also. Other cafes offer free refills on hot drinks but this one does not. Overall the food is delicious but not very good value.

Pros: Wide selection, Friendly staff, Serves oatmilk

Cons: Small portions, Not good value for money, Gets crowded

Amazing - Edit

I even came here, when the restaurant was still called Hugo's. This cafe/restaurant is not very big, but you have a very cozy and homely atmosphere. They usually only have a few daily offers that you have to ask for or that are written out on a blackboard somewhere. They also offer a great variety of tea, pastry and drinks. I really love Los Vego's for this familiarity and there local/organic products!

Pros: Snugly, Organic/local products

Happy bean burger was deelish!!! - Edit

Yum loved my meal which was quite low sat fat they roast instead of deep fry and make their vegan burger patties from scratch! You get hand cut oven roasted potatoes, carrots and parsnips plus salad instead of French fries and ketchup on the side which is brilliant! They also had a very good looking cabinet full of vegan treats and sandwiches etc.

Delicious! - Edit

This place is worth the trip. Reasonably priced, super fresh-tasting food. I got the daily special, which was a cheese burger, two types of salad, roasted potatoes, and some herbed dipping aioli. The burger was the star of the meal- it was a slightly spicy and smoky beer burger with mixed beans. The texture of the patty was great. The burger also had vegan cheese, more of the herby mayo, and a well-seasoned ketchup that made it creamy, flavorful, and exciting. The salads were good, but not great. They tasted really fresh though, so I was still overall very happy with them. I would highly recommend this place for lunch or afternoon tea- they had a few beautiful cakes and bars on display when I went. Can't wait to go back!

Pros: top notch food for the price , friendly staff

Cons: understaffed and long-ish wait time

Incredible food and cozy place - Edit

I was recently in Stockholm, and decided to take a short trip to Uppsala to see the church and castle. After a short internet search for food, I stumbled upon this place, and decided to go there.
I found a couple of tables and chairs outside and entered to find a lovely decorated, but a bit small, location. A welcoming trio of staff members greeted me, and one of them explained the lunch for the day. There is only one lunch item available per day (otherwise there is 'fika' - coffee and cake). That day, they had a chili lasagne which I ordered with a locally made cola for a total amount of 99 SEK (rather cheap for lunch, I must say!)
About 10 minutes passed before a waiter brought out our food from the back of the restaurant ('café' might be a more suitable name, though). It looked delicious! There was a more than sufficiently sized piece of lasagna with salad on the side. An herb oil was spread on top of the lasagna which was laid on cheese sauce. This cheese sauce was the highlight of the dish. The first couple of bites were very spicy but afterwards it was better. I finished my plate and looked around at the plants and other decours.
I felt full and left, still tasting a bit of spice and with a happy feeling all over from the joy of food.

vegan fika! - Edit

Opened just a couple of months ago, it's the only 100% vegan place in Uppsala so cheers to that. On a self service basis there's a wide selection of leafs tee on offer (that you can refill), coffee & co. and then veganised versions of classical Swedish fika pastries like the punsch rolls or the famous semla buns among many others (see pic). I had a taste of a nice vegan meringue made from chickpea water and topped with dark chocolate. There were also ciabattas sandwiches available It was said to me that different kinds of warm meals and vegan burgers are also prepared in the evenings. One dish per day if I can remember . I had a taste of the homemade vegan cheese that comes with the burgers and it was delicious. Hope the concept lasts long in Uppsala.

Pros: vegan Swedish pastry!, price, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff

Cons: Focus on the sweet tooth. Menu can be expanded
