This place has a legendary status among Mexico City’s vegan community. The food is an interesting and most of the time delicious fusion of vegan Mexican-Japanese dishes. Overall, I liked the food.
Read moreThere are two issues with this place, though: it’s very pricey for Mexican standards, and you realize that soon enough as most clients are foreigners -depressingly, though, none of the waiters I heard interacting with clients spoke decent English.
But the biggest problem, and I think people need to be aware of this, is that food takes 30-45 minutes to be served from the time you place your order. Waiters claim that this is the result of two factors, none of which cut the water. The first argument is that all is home- and handmade and everything needs longer than a typical restaurant. That makes sense, but 45 minutes is just ridiculous. The second argument is that regular clients place their orders early in the morning so they don’t have capacity to serve people who arrive without placing their orders in advance. While this “system” doesn’t make sense, this raises the question of why they don’t let their clients know this in advance, or why they don’t have a waiting list... instead, they sit clients, take their orders, and let people wait for 30-45 minutes. Clients obviously get upset and the place has an uncomfortable environment through the day....
This is a place I would definitely go back for the food, but armed with a lot of patience

I have been to Los Loosers several times since June 2018. The food is amazing, and most people I have taken here have felt the same. Very unique and delicious flavor combinations, everything sourced locally and lots of organic, etc, haven’t found anything else quite like it in the city. The con is that service is lacking. I had an especially upsetting experience a recent time I went in a group of about 6 people: the kitchen had forgotten 4 of us’ main dishes, and upon realizing, said they would not be able to serve us these dishes as the restaurant was closing. (!!!) they were hardly apologetic about it and only offered us some dessert instead of the mains after I insisted that was the least they could do. Have never had such a strange experience in a restaurant where there was such a big ‘mixup’ that could not be resolved.

Sin temor a equivocarme, tiene uno de los mejores moles que he comido en mi vida, aún cuando no era vegano. Su ramen también es delicioso. Cada vez que voy me sorprende más, sólo recomendaría que hicieran más cómodas las mesas y sillas y que algunas cosas deberían de bajar el precio, por más elaborado que sea, me parece caro vender un taco en $100 pesos o más por una sola pieza. Se ve que tienen experiencia y mucho conocimiento técnico que hacen que logren sabores EXTRAORDINARIOS, sigan así, muchas felicidades!!

I had high expectations due to the good reviews here on Happy Cow. But I was very disappointed with this place. The food might be unusual – a fusion of Mexican and Japanese – but it wasn’t good at all. Portions are small and therefore the food is too expensive. I also didn’t like the atmosphere – it was too dark to actually see the food and the music wasn’t very pleasing. In their menu is a note that you can’t request any changes to any of the dishes, as they are convinced that every dish has to taste exactly the way they created it. They seem to be very self-conceited but failed to convince us, too.

I tried one of the delicious Ramen soups and although it was a big bowl it was imho a little bit pricy. The location is very, very hip and cool and the music a little bit too noisy (i had problems to understand the friendly staff), but if you like the modern type of restaurant, go for it. The place became very crowded in the noon so maybe you should give them a call if you want to visit it in a group.

Discover Mexican foods beyond the obvious - Edit
Los loosers is definitely worth a visit. The tastes are refined (not just the greasy but pleasing tacos you get elsewhere) and the place is very nice, in a hipster kind of way. It's expensive though so that's why I only give it 4 stars.

Well, well, well. I'm truly impressed with this restaurant. Best vegan place in CDMX but it's also now in my top 10 worldwide. If you're in Mexico and you like vegetarian creative cuisine, this is the place. Amazing taste, super nice staff. 100% recommended!

I used to order their food when they delivered by bike. I've been to their brick and mortar place twice and both times service is just disappointing. They don't really seem to care about giving good service unless you look gringo.

My experience with Los loosers dates back to when they delivered you food by bicycle with orders placed by Facebook messages. It was surprising and great to see that this bicycle collective has come quite a way from their beginnings. We ordered a gringa and al pastor taco to start. Both delicious and savory. The small dish was presentable and delicious and it left me wanting more. My main course was the cashu ramen. They warned me that it was salty but I wasn’t scared. I knew that what ever came my way could be refreshed with their delicious tamarind water. The scallion and sea weed added great flavor to the large trumpet mushrooms. The noodle itself was over cooked and a mushy starch but it was easy to neglect as ramen to me, is in the broth. This will indeed be a new staple whenever I visit this great city.

My Fave in Mexico City - Edit
This place was fantastic! My favorite in our trip. We tried to visit as many vegan places as possible and this came out on top. The food was simply delicious, well seasoned, extremely well presented and crafted. We had two apps (avocado and gyosa) and 6 tacos (pick anyone you won’t regret it). The staff was super friendly. Do go with time and early because the place was packed by the time we left.

Great food, good service. Not cheap, but worth the money in my opinion. I have been several times with my girlfriend and always enjoy the food. My favorite is the Tan Tan bowl, which is one of the recurring items on an otherwise weekly changing menu.

Ya es la segunda vez que voy, la primera aguante por qué supuse era un sábado y estaban saturados. Pero una segunda vez con incluso peor servicio es ya una grosería. Si al menos tuvieran una buenas actitud de servicio, la eterna espera para la atención sería más amena. Todo lo bueno que hacen con la comida se cae con actitudes nefastas.

Esperamos una hora para entrar, cuando finalmente entramos esperamos 20 minutos sin que nadie nos atendió. Intentamos comunicarnos con algún mesero pero nadie nos hizo caso, así que después de esperar ahora ya 1:30 nos fuimos. No queríamos dar nuestro dinero a un lugar con un servicio así de pesimo. Están básicamente negando su trabajo por completo.
