Small shop selling local and organic produce, has plant milks and veggie sausage, and handmade crafts; is strongly involved with causes e.g. knitting blankets for refugees in Syria. Houses a cafe serving cakes and hot drinks including vegan hot chocolate with marshmallows. Open Mon 9:00am-6:00pm, Wed-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm, Sat 9:00am-5:00pm, Sun 11:00am-5:00pm.

Lorton Village Shop is in a small wooden building and sends this up with the nickname "Shed With A View". It's on the C2C route, so quite popular. It has a local crafts section selling rag rugs, postcards, jewellery etc and a health food section with a small range of organic, fairtrade and vegan foods. The café consists of one table from which you can order coffee and some very good vegan hot chocolate (with a marshmallow!). There are homemade cakes. They have craft demonstrations, a regular knitting group... It would be quicker to list the things they don't do. Excellent little shop very involved in the local community, though you'll have to park along the side of the very narrow road.
Pros: Useful selecton of food, excellent hot chocolate, nice staff
Cons: No parking, rather pricey
