We came for the promise of a vegan breakfast and were not disappointed! So much so that we decided to go back for lunch that day !
Read moreI had the opportunity to try the famous torinese bicerin in its vegan alternative, with a great croissant and a cannolo while my partner had a pain au chocolat.
Lunch was great too and we thought the price was amazing ! (14€ for a primi and two sides or a secundi and a side coffee).
We treated ourselves to a dessert to share more to enjoy one more thing to eat than because we were still hungry to be honest.
All in all, we loved that place and if we ever come back to Torino it will be a must visit for us !

Orto Bistrot is a nice spot in the heart of Torino.

Even you will not notice, everything is vegan.
Orto Bistrot is managed by chef Eduardo Ferrante, same of L’Orto già Salsamentario restaurant.
Eduardo’s hospitality is always appreciated.

We had breakfast there and liked it so much we came back for dinner. Everything was tasty especially the breakfast pastries, and I recommend the brunch which is served until twelve. The brunch includes a sausage, tofu scramble, avocado on toast, pancakes, fresh juice and coffee, all this for €18. Good food at a good price. The staff was very friendly and the setting outside on the piazza was perfect. They ran out of a few items that were on the card. Potatoes were on the salty side but I suspect its a local preference. Overall A experience.

We ate at the terrace outside, quite a few tables available. They have a coffee shop with plenty of cakes and they also serve food. I got the Orto burger and it was very simple yet very very tasty, comes with roasted potatoes full of flavor. They have other options for food: pizza, starters, seitan dishes etc. We also tested the tiramisu and cannelone, both decadent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, could not recommend this place enough!

I had a breakfast and a lunch with friends at L'Orto Bistrot during a recent visit to Turin. All the food was delicious from the tofu scramble with avocado to the seitan, it also redeemed my faith in Russian Salad! Prices extremely reasonable and location very pleasant with seating outside and inside.
Read moreI cannot praise the staff enough, they are welcoming, helpful and friendly and didn't chase us out after we'd finished, letting us sit in the shade on a very hot day whilst we chatted and planned our next move.
This will be the first place I return to if I ever get the chance to go back to Turin. Highly recommend.

I discovered this place because I was attending a manifestation againt a cull which meant to kill 800 thousand of Pigeons in Torino. (If you're reading this feel free to contact the major and let him know it's unhumane and you're against it and spread the voice. Everyone anywhere needs to know).
Read moreI actually had just an aperitivo but it was better than I was expecting. The kombucha they served me was amazing and so were all the "apetizers". I wasn't expecting so many different types. And I have to say they all tasted amazing. I also tried some Italian biscuits called Canestrelli and they genuinely tasted like the non-vegan version, which mesmerized me.
The Staff is very friendly and professional as well. And I found the "vegan as f*" logo very appropiate and kind of fun. It's a smart and friendly way to assert their Veganism and I found it cool. I need to mention the Staff is Vegan, which is an enormous plus for me and the whole shop offers only vegan options. Which is another essential plus. This place is located in a quiet area near the city centre and Torino Porta Nuova railway station, making it a strategic place for anyone visiting the city. I am very happy to have found this place and I definitely am going to come back anytime I'll be in Torino. And sure, I highly recommend it to anyone going there.

As a tour leader, I took advantage of a short break from my group to try L'Orto Bistrò. I was short on time, but the experience was outstanding.
• The food: I enjoyed a savory crepe with pea cream and smoked tofu, and a delicious farinata (chickpea pancake) served with chive mayo. The pistachio cannolo at the end was perfect: a crunchy shell and exquisite filling.
• The vibe: I loved the straightforward, no-nonsense philosophy of the place. I enjoyed the "Vegan as F*ck" claim so much that I just had to buy the snapback hat!
• Service: Neat, clean environment and very friendly staff. The service was super fast, which is crucial when you're working and on a tight schedule.
A must-visit for plant-based food in Turin. I’ll definitely be back for longer meal!

Went here once for lunch and once for a coffee and a sweet treat. Definitely a very classic Italian restaurant which is fantastic because usually vegan is more modern cuisine/chain places but this was so homey and got to try local specialties. Small menu but good options and menu pricing for lunch. Everything I had was delicious and I was amazed by how popular the place was with a very diverse crowd.
