Lorenabo

This is a simple cozy place with dishes filled with a homy flavor. The people are very sweet too. They spoke some English and even helped us find a place to break our 100 dollar bill into smaller bills (something almost impossible anywhere else in Ecuador besides a bank). The price is extremely cheap especially considering the quality of the food. Everything is fresh, tasty, and many items are organic. Lorenabo is not the type of place where you will experience a gourmet meal of truffles, sprouted almond butter, or anything like that... But instead you fill nourished with a meal that is light, tasty, fresh, and just enough to kill hunger without stuffing you. I definitely recommend it!

Hoy salí con amigos de la u al centro y al no ver restaurantes abiertos a esa hora (5pm) justo pasamos al frente de éste, en fin, primera vez que fui y me encantó.

The owner, Lorena, is vegan and very helpful. The menu has many vegan options of tipical food from Guayaquil. They also have a lunch option that left me feeling satisfied and healthy. It is cash only and inexpensive. Highly recommended!
