Pricey vegan Maccas but better

Just as the title suggests, vegan fast food, great that everything is vegan so you can get anything off the menu and it’s all greasy and edible. Not a 5? Start joint by any means but consistent in what they do.

Pros: All vegan, Consistent, Vegan poutine and big mac

Cons: Expensive, Not super flash

No Thanks

The regular fries were good & the biggie burger sauce tasted just like a big mac but the pattie was super average. The whole meal was very expensive for what you actually get and the burger was quite flavorless. Im hoping i just picked the wrong burger but i was quite disappointed tbh.

Pros: Chips similar to McDonald's chips

Cons: Expensive , Not much flavour

Junk food heaven

If you're looking for vegan junk food this is the place to go! I've tried their parma burger which was delicious with shoestring fries. Friends have tried the nuggets which were good but tasted slightly fishy so probably fried in the same fryer as fake fish burger. Milkshakes are phenomenal.

Pros: So much to choose from, Not too expensive

Best vegan junk food!

Love this place - their burgers are super rich and interesting and satisfy the craving for something hearty. Their fake meat is super good. Service is efficient and friendly!

Pros: All vegan

Cons: They sometimes run out of certain things

Vegan Fast Food

My partner and I went for the first time - we ordered the spicy burger, peanut butter ice cream shake, corn dog and the limited edition chicken version of the hsp. Be warned the spicy burger IS VERY SPICY and decent though not amazing, in my opinion. The peanut butter shake was yummy and peanutty but wished it could have been thicker. Loved the corn dog - tastes the same as a regular one! The chicken hsp was so good! It had what tastes like hummus as the topping with some cheese, bbq sauce and mustard. All in all pretty good visit, would come again.

Pros: Entirely vegan menu - hooray!

Cons: Standard prices for vegan food which for, non-vegan would be a bit pricey

Lord of the Fries

Fastfood style.

Surprisingly all items in the menu are vegan.

The burger, corndog, and shake were not bad. However the chick'n munch box was too salty.

There was a bit of waiting time for the order.

LORD OF THE FRIES WILL MAKE YOU WEEP FOR THE END OF INNOCENCE

the super friendly manager was out front when we first walked by and mentioned they just started offering the beyond burger. having prepared them at home in the states all kinds of ways, i had to try the classic unadulterated "american" style. it was yummy, perfectly greasy goodness on a bun. stopped back in for a breakfast sandwich the next morning to help soak up cuba dupa and was equally pleased.

FYI - those pager/buzzers can be turned off at the push of a little button on the side. we watched in horror and fascination as people brought them up to the counter one by one, and each time the cashier would politely turn it off for them.

Pros: perfect little fast food joint., seating out front on cuba st.

Cons: put up a sign on how to turn off pager! :)

Love it exists

I'm so pleased this had opened, though I wasn't wild about the chips. Had great fake chicken, though.

McDonalds for vegans

If you're craving greasy, basic fast food, you've found it. If you're looking for gourmet burgers and fries, keep walking up Cuba St.

Pros: Salty fatty yumminess

Cons: Chips often undercooked, Quite a lot of wasted plastic and packaging , Most sauces cost extra

Our 2nd visit...

We tried a LotF for the 1st time in Queenstown last October (reviewed also). This time I tried the Parma burger & Mexican loaded fries. These were both very good but I definitely thought the Original burger (with Beyond Meat pattie) & French Canadian fries from my other visit were better. The mini version of their burgers really are small. Still plenty of flavour though.

The peanut butter shake was excellent again.

Service was good & this outlet looks like it seats around 40 people. It is situated in the popular Cuba Mall of the CBD.

We were asked twice if we were dining onsite when we ordered. It was disappointing to still be served the shake in single use plastic when it's being consumed in the premises - wasteful. No recycle bins for the glass bottle for the other drink we had either.

It's good quality food with plenty of choices at reasonable prices. Check it out.

Pros: Everything on the menu is vegan.

Cons: Plastic packaging on the dine-in shake., Needs some recycle options for waste.
