Great fries and sauces, burgers are okay

I've tried a few of the burger options at Lord of the Fries, and I think that there are definitely better ones out there. However, the sauces they have for their fries are delicious, and their fries are generally crispy and fresh. Good for filling a fried food craving.

Mixed feeling

I have mixed feelings about Lord of The Fries. Although it saved me a lot of times as they stay open till late and have tons of options, burgers are not amazing and not at all healthy.

If you want junky burgers, check out burguery at K Road

Pros: Vegan, A lot of options

Cons: Average burguer and hot dogs, You will be burping after 30 minutes

fries for sure

Like other reviewers have said, not healthy, but so good! We were only craving fries so we got chunky wedges and sweet potato fries with aioli sauce. 100% vegan, all sauces and burger patties and hot dogs. Didn’t get to try them, but they look amazing! Fast fried food never disappoints! Lol dieting when we get back from our honeymoon!

Pros: fast food, delicious , good service

The fried 'chicken' and nuggets are so good! Sweet potato fries and sauces also are great. Gives you that junk food fix perfectly, will be back!

Junk food heaven

Delicious, but don’t go here if you’re looking for something healthy! (This is vegan junk food heaven!)

We had the chick’n tenders and fries. Everything tasted amazing, but it’s the kind of food that makes you feel kind of gross after eating it! Still, I’m thankful these kinds of places exist and would definitely go back when in the mood for this type of thing.

Good food

We came here for a small lunch/afternoon snack. We split a Parma sandwich and loaded fries with hummus, soy strips, and other toppings. The food was really good, and I was especially impressed by the steak strips in the fries and the Parma sandwich fillings. Definitely a place to check out in Auckland.

OMG YUM

My god was this tasty.
I stumbled upon this place at lunchtime my very first day in Auckland and Lord of the Fries did not disappoint.

I got the f*sh burger and shoestring fries and it was to die for. Their tartar sauce is a must have!

Pros: great food, great location

Cons: all outdoors, gets pretty windy.

Vegan fast-food

At Lord of the Fries you can get vegan burgers, different fries with lots of different dips, vegan hot-dogs and basically all the stuff you would get at a normal fast food restaurant. I had the first hot-dog in my life (hot-dog Melbourne), so I can’t really compare. The consistency of the sausage was very soft, but the taste was alright. The fries are also good. I like the concept of a “non-healty” snack stall in an all-vegan version – eating vegan because you want to avoid the exploitation of the animals, not because you want to live healthy. Wish this was more common. If you’re craving a hearty and filling meal this is for you!

Food Option Anxiety

With all the choices, I couldn't decide on what to get. So I did what any reasonable person would do; I ordered one of everything (in mini). Yup! The girl behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy but it was worth it. I got to try all the flavors and loved every single thing. I'm allowed; I'm on vacation.

Pros: lots of options

Cons: lots of options

Must visit for vegans in Auckland

The menu is all vegan, and is so incredible I asked the lady serving at least 3 times just to be sure. I had the chick'n and chips with gravy and I wish I could live next door to this place for regular eats

Pros: everything is vegan, delish

Cons: Open air

Fast Food Done Right,

I'm really glad Lord of the Fries exists. It's always very busy. I doubt all the customers know it's veg*n. The nuggets are the best I've ever had. I've tried all the burgers. They are all ok, not great. but they get the job done. The hotdogs are way better, but the Chicago Style is a pretty poor representation. No poppy seed bun, no neon green relish, no sport peppers (Just some other kind of pepper), and no detectable celery salt.

The Tiajuana is the best of the dogs, IMO.

Overall, if you need some nice, fast good calories in a pinch, Lord of the Fries is the place.

Pros: Fast Food Fast. Convenient location.

Cons: nothing healthy on the menu.

LOVED IT!

Have visited twice so far and will definitely be going back! First time was at the Vegan food fair where a friend and I tried their 'Veganator' burger (hash brown, 'bacon', angel foods cheddar cheese, ketchup , BBQ sauce and vegan mayo) and their chocolate chunk cookies. Both items were superb, especially loved the 'bacon' on the burger! the second time i visited i ordered the 'Melbourne' hotdog (Cheese, onion, tomato sauce, mustard and soy sausage), fries and the 'peanut butter' shake. All were delicious and especially loved the peanut butter shake (was well worth the $7) Even my non-vegan friends who i went here with enjoyed it! Would 100% recommend LOTF to everyone, wish there was a store in Hamilton!!

Good vegan fast food

I have tried a number of vegan foods here including the original and vegan "chick'n" burgers; and sweet potato and classic fries with Parisian (aioli garlic mayo) sauce. By the way, the Melbourne hotdog is the best hotdog of the three types offered. Oh, and apparently, all of their sauces are vegan.

Personally, I used to love their food, but I found that their quality and customer service has gone downhill a bit. When I ate out with a colleague, they forgot to add sauces in our burgers and hotdogs so they were quite dry. We didn't bother bringing it up, but mentioned it the next time we were there. The lady present on that day apologised and ensured that our orders came out right. But still, how can someone forget to put sauces in burgers and hotdogs? Boggles the mind.

Overall, I think it's an ok place, and definitely awesome to see so many non-vegans and non-vegetarians eating here. Many don't even realise that this fast food joint is vegan; it's hilarious.

Check it out if you haven't already.

Phenomenal

We had phish burgers, comes with vegan tatare sauce, vegan cheese, pickles and a bit of salad. Really tasty, friendly, good vibe on the harbour front. Maybe a little pricey ($10) for a burger but location considered I think it's about fair. There's a craft beer place next door and the seating is shared, if you fancy that.

Pros: Vegan burgers, fries etc, Vegan cookies and vego bar

Cons: No indoor seating when it rains

Awesome feed

Great place for a quick and easy meal. Been there twice for the American fries and vegan spicy burger, both delicious. Nice to have a burger and chips option for vegans, though it is crazy tempting being just around the corner from my work!

Pros: quick, central

Cons: processed

Great fast food joint

Great place for vegetarian/vegan fast food, burgers, hot dogs, nuggets and fries (including sweet potato).

Everything is either vegan or can be made vegan, all the sauces are vegan.

I had the Parma burger, a chicken patty with cheese and bacon, very tasty.

They have very recently opened up a new branch in Auckland in St Kevins Arcade on Karangahape Road.

Pros: Great vegan fast food, Lots of choice available

Cons: Small seating areas so better suited for takeaway

Great fast food for vegans!

Today our family of three lunched here. We had hotdogs and fries and absolutely loved it. Great tasting big hotdogs and the Canadian vegan "gravy and cheese" sauce made the fries really interesting! We will definitely come again on a warm and sunny day as it only has outside seating.
