Excellent service - Edit
Great location by the beautiful
Read moreLlanberis Lake. Today on a Cold November Wednesday it was the only cafe here which we found open and with vegan options. It was a nice surprise to find friendly helpful staff with knowledge of what’s vegan on the menu(not all cafe staff I’ve come across seem to be aware,) and even better it was dog friendly 😃. I chose the spinach And bean burger but without the bun and the lady serving suggested she added some hash browns instead which was welcome , a nice balsamic vingegar was added to the salad ; my friend had the hummus and tomato panini and we both enjoyed our lunch agreeing we would definitely return.
Pros: Helpful staff, Food basic but nice, Dog friendly
Cons: None

Lakeside Cafe with Some Vegan Options. - Edit
Lone Tree Cafe is a lakeside cafe situated in the popular village of Llanberis. As the name suggests, the cafe is only a short walk from the infamous Lonely Tree of Llŷn Padarn. The cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor searing and they also sell lots of local arts and crafts.
Read moreThe vegan options on their menu are labelled, and they also have oat and soya milk and vegan cream available for hot drinks. They had many cakes for sale on their counter, but none of them were labelled as vegan. The vegan options during my visit were as follows:
- Vegan Burger
- Vegan Sausage Baguette
- Falafel Panini
- Jacket Potato, Fries or Nachos Topped with Homemade Smokey Beans
- Vegan Hot Chocolate
I had the Vegan Burger and an Oat Flat White. The coffee was pretty good, and my fellow diner was particularly pleased with it. The burger patty was made up of beans, peas, and spinach. The meal was just okay. It would have been improved if the bun had been warmed and if the accompanying salad had a bit more imagination put into it.
Lone Tree Cafe is in a great location, and if any vegan is in need of a meal after a packed day of watersports, then this cafe can accommodate. However, I must mention, there is a fully vegan coffee shop (Frân Las) on Llanberis High Street if you'd prefer something small and to support a small vegan business.
Pros: Labelled Vegan Options, Soya and Oat Milk, Knowledge Staff, Nice Location
Cons: No Labelled Vegan Cakes
