Pleased to see so many vegan options - Edit
They had several vegan options on the menu, I chose the empanadas and the panuchos.
Read moreThey both had the same filling (a mix of chopped mushrooms, carrots, and very tasty zucchinis? melons?) so I wouldn't bother ordering both again.
I preferred the panuchos.
We had beachfront views at this huge restaurant.

Beach Club with several options - Edit
This place is mildly difficult to find but worth it. I think this may have been the best food and service we had while staying in the akumal/tulum area. Some options on the menu are marked, some are not but there are several choices which was nice. We got the empanadas and the fajitas, both were excellent

Decent vegan options! - Edit
We thought this spot was pretty low key, nice way to enjoy the beach and fairly accessible for our friend with mobility needs. There were a decent number of vegan options and the vegetarian (but actually vegan if you specify no cheese) fajitas were a fan favorite! Much better than other beach clubs in the area for snacks!!

Amazing - Edit
Loved this place. Went here twice and had the vegan empanadas and vegan burger. There are also some other vegan options. It's right on the beach and has delicious cocktails too. The view is just amazing.

Much improvement on their vegan options! - Edit
A few years ago I found out Lol-Ha was putting butter in the rice and pork in the beans they serve with the vegan enchiladas. After speaking with the owner they revamped their menu. Delicious options include enchiladas(I suggest red and green), lentil burger, fajitas, empanadas, panuchos, nachos, pizza etc.

Definitely worth a visit!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Ocean front, Friendly staff

Surprised at the options! - Edit
So, if you’ve been to Akumal before you may know that there is Lol-Ha the fancier restaurant that has music some nights (older family members love it, we’ve always found the food…uninspired?) and the outdoor casual snack bar which always seemed like a junk food place to me. As of last week when we were there, the indoor restaurant was infrequently open, but when we ate at the snack bar, we were offered the menu from both restaurants. There were vegan options on so many dishes! I had a vegan quinoa burger which was delicious. They also had vegan enchiladas which I was told use a plant based meat (soy protein). I forget how many other things, but you could definitely eat there multiple times. Way to go Akumal, the trip for this vegan was much better than expected!

Veganizable options - Edit
They have a generous avocado toast for breakfast just say no queso. It comes with sautéed mushrooms and onions and tomatoes and is quite nice. We bought almond milk (leche de

Good options for a Omni place that is literally 5 feet from the Caribbean Sea 🌊 they also have vegan popsicles that we didn’t try but they look good!

NOT very vegan friendly! - Edit
So I was really disappointed in this place! They have a vegan enchilada on the menu, but when I asked them what was in it, the waiter said it was rice and black beans. Then he comes back and tells me that there is butter in the rice and pork lard in the beans! Ahem, WTF? Not even close to vegan enchiladas. Thank goodness I carefully asked based on other reviews in here!
Read moreI ended up ordering the vegan burger, which was OK, nothing special. The french fries were luckily hard to mess up. I’ve been eating most meals in noisy, crowded Tulum and was excited to try a restaurant near my friends’ place in Akumal, but honestly, it’s worth the hassles of eating in Tulum for a guaranteed yummy vegan meal.
Cons: Bland American food , pork & butter-filled dishes are mislabeled vegan

Seguiremos investigando.
Pros: cantidad, calidad, atención
Cons: precio

Several vegan options & others that could be adapted - Edit
Really lively and popular place with fantastic service and yummy food. Be sure to explain to your waiter sin queso etc, they're really lovely but just don't understand the difference between vegan and vegetarian. My boyfriend ordered the veg fajitas and I ordered the quesadillas sin queso, they were however delivered with cheese. Luckily my boyfriend is veggie so we just swapped dishes as the veg fajitas are vegan but aren't listed as such. All worked out well and very yummy :)
