Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with many vegetarian dishes - check with staff to see which are or can be vegan. Open Mon-Sun 12:00-14:00, 17:00-23:00.
The first waiter had no idea about veganism and told us we could have anything but it became more apparent that he didn't have a clue and he even argued with me that "some vegans eat dairy". I also told him my partner is dairy intolerant (true) and I hoped I had made it clear enough but I was still worried. And rightly so but thankfully the other waiter who brought the food knew it wasn't vegan (both dishes contained dairy). They quickly cooked us an alternative but it wasn't what we had ordered and they brought us 2 of the same dishes whereas we like to order 2 different dishes and share. If we had been told they only had chickpea bhuna we would have likely gone elsewhere.m, though there isn't lots of choice in Ballater.
Got a lovely curry here, owner knowledgeable on what is vegan suitable so could tell me which were suitable. Prices are lower than I'm used to back home in Ayrshire
Lots of tasty veg and vegan options here. Most of the main dishes have a mixed vegetable choice and the menu features a wide variety of starters and sides to choose from.
Many Indian dishes tend to be naturally veg/ vegan, but the one sneaky non-vegan ingredient would be ghee- ask about this when ordering a dish.

Read morePros: The chickpea bhuna was actually pretty good, Chapati and pappadums were good, Not changed for 2 bhunas after I complained
Cons: The first waiter. Better hope you don't get him., 2 identical dishes we hadn't ordered, So a pretty boring meal
