Oasis in West Tennessee

This was our first visit, but certainly not the last. The food was great! Hot, tasty food and well prepared.
I had the oat burger 🍔 while my family had salads and quiche. The raspberry tea was just right!
We were righteously impressed and satisfied.
The owner and staff are personable and courteous. Stop by. You won't be disappointed!

A Vegan's Oasis

What a wonderful surprise! Looking for a place to stop for dinner on the way to Nashville we stumbled on the Happy Cow reviews for Living Well. Healthy, tasty, and vegan? Normally, it's a two out of three - if you're lucky! This fits all three! I had the Tofu Stir Fry, while my lovely wife enjoyed the Oat Burger. We sampled each other's dishes and both were exceptionally delicious. And they have baked goods! We are definitely scheduling another visit on our way back home!

Just an update. We stopped again on our way home. Her Spaghetti and Meatballs are amazing! Got a loaf of her bread and a brownie for the road. The bread was so soft, it felt like the knife fell through it when sliced. The brownie was delicious!

Omfg it’s so good!

I’m visiting my friend in back woods TN and this gem was a God send… it’s open on Sunday, the menu has a great variety, the good is glorious, and the staff is so sweet!!!

I had the Indian Dal and it was wonderful! I was almost full by the time my dinner came. For an entree, I had the Roti with bbq meat curls. It was AMAZING!! I’m jealous that my friend has this restaurant so close!

I ordered the coconut spice cake to go too. I can’t wait!

Diamond In The Rough!

To find a vegetarian and vegan restaurant in the middle of the country is a rarity but to find one with absolutely delicious healthy food is the needle in the haystack! The food was seasoned wonderfully and so filling. They make their own meat substitute that was sublime. I don’t usually like cabbage but I ate every single bite! One dish and an appetizer was 2 meals for me.

A sight for sore eyes

I travel a lot for work and typically go into smaller towns that very slim options. I saw this place while searching for food spots and I could not believe my eyes! I knew I had to try it so I got their Wednesday special which was rice and beans with marinated seitan and cabbage. I also got the spring roll which was amazing. Delicious home cooked food, huge portions, great prices, and a wonderful owner.

A hidden gem in rural West TN

This place was truly incredible. I had the tofu stir fry with a spring roll, and my family members had the beans and rice with a salad. The cream sunflower dressing was delightful. I tried everything, including my daughter’s delicious pineapple lemonade, and was blown away by the flavors. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. I even asked for an oil-free stir fry , which the owner/chef happily accommodated. I am a strict vegan who adheres to a whole foods plant-based diet, and this restaurant was heaven. We ended with dessert—silken carob pie with vegan vanilla ice cream for me, carob ice cream for my daughter, and a cinnamon roll for my husband. I definitely wish to return but would prefer that this restaurant move to a larger market in nearby Jackson. Thank you for a delicious meal!

Pros: 100% vegan, Affordable prices, Incredible desserts

Cons: Call ahead if in a hurry; food is prepared fresh

Excellent Food!!!

I ate here on October 3, 2017. I had the roti, raspberry tea and cinnamon roll. The Roti was quite possibly the best I have EVER had. I was visiting and staying in Jackson, TN for work and drove 40 minutes each way to get to the restaurant. The drive was definitely worth every minute and I will gladly do it again each time I visit Jackson. Great Food and the owner is a delight. Awesome place.

Pros: Awesome food and Owner

Cons: None

Fabulous Find!

What an amazing place!

I just had a savory East Indian Dahl with corn muffins.
I'm waiting on rice and beans now! We Met a vegan couple from Memphis who always stop here when they are headed to Nashville!

The restaurant was further off I-40 than we expected, but it was well worth a few extra miles to get here!

Driving through...

We came to eat at this great restaurant back on September 22nd. We had done a little research to see if there was anywhere we can eat on a drive back home through TN.

It wasn't easy to find online, there aren't very many places online that had the information for this place. We got in an hour before close and we were the only ones there, but the owner came out and talked to us the whole time. We asked all sorts of questions, specially how she had a vegetarian restaurant in a 4,000 person town in TN!

Her story was inspirational and amazing! She just hit her 2 year anniversary since the doors opened. Amazing. Also the food was great! I'm gluten free and it took us a bit of time to find something I could eat. I had the stir fry, which had flavors I wasn't expecting. It had a great sauce that I had never had before. My husband had the burger and loved it. We specially loved the prices!

I attached the pictures of the menu since you couldn't find it anywhere online. I hope it gets more people in the door to try it out!

Great Vegetarian Oasis!

Delicious, healthy, vegetarian fare. My wife and I are vegan and have eaten here twice now since we discovered this place. We live about 20 miles away and have decided we'll try to make it here at least once a week. It's also only about 15 miles from I-40 about halfway between Memphis and Nashville, a great location to stop off for lunch if you have time. Between us both on 2 visits we've tried the Dahl soup, white bean and herb soup, curry pockets, seasoned steamed veggies, vegan mac and cheese, Roti (curried chickpeas and mock meat on flatbread) salad, and carob pie. Everything has been delicious and is made from scratch including the breads, all vegan except honey in a few items e.g. herbal teas which can be made with sugar. The owner is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend giving this place a try whether you're vegetarian or not. The mock tuna salad sandwich, Roti and soups are hearty and the homemade salad dressings really make the salads.

Pros: Healthy, Delicious, From scratch
