Great it’s there - Edit
This place is a great find although not really for me as I find ‘s’ham’ in the rice pretty disconcerting. Good range and I think a lot of folks will be glad to eat here. My partner is vegan and doesn’t mind fake meats but not for me.

Huge menu, poor customer service - Edit
I arrived here and wasn't sure if they were still open but they said they were. However, when seated and handed the menu I was told I needed to order straight away as the kitchen was closing. The food arrived quickly enough and the portions were bigger than expected. I felt extremely rushed and like staff were watching me waiting to finish so I asked to take some of my food away which was pretty awkward to pack to the containers they had. I would have preferred if they had said it was too late to dine in from the beginning.

Good vegan food - Edit
The vegan food was good but not exceptional, the staff was not really friendly and not helpful for vegan vs vegetarian options. Prices were ok

Huge menu - Edit
There are so many dishes to choose from on their menu! Lots of fake meats etc. portions were well-sized and as always in Malaysia the meats were so realistic. We came back for the buffet lunch which we were a little late for at around 2pm so only got the scrapings. It was nice but I definitely recommend ordering off the menu instead!

Good vegan food - Edit
Lots of options, we opted for tofu dishes as we were sure they would be vegan and added as a note on our order slip no egg just to be safe. Tasty and good portions

A LOT of choices - Edit
I ended up here randomly. I had gone to the same mall to get a vegan burger at Uncle Bob's. And when I went to sit down in the food court seating area, I saw Living Seed at the end of the hall. Since I wasn't sure what I got from Uncle Bob's was going to be filling enough, I went to Living Seed and ordered a side of mushroom tempura and they allowed me to bring my Uncle Bob's burger with and sit in their beautiful restaurant space with windows overlooking the ocean and eat everything together.

Nice and straight forward - Edit
Was a bit iffy based on reviews so we went with safe potential vegan options. We made sure with the staff that we were vegan and didn’t want egg etc and they understood. The food was great and really nice. Portions were good and it wasn’t that pricy.

Dishes contained egg after asking for no egg, disappointed - Edit
Had high hopes for this after reading the reviews and was even prepared for the slightly different ordering process.
Read moreWe filled out our form with our order deliberately avoiding any items on the menu which were advertised as containing egg, but to be sure I also wrote “VEGAN - NO EGG” on the top of the form.
When I gave our form to the waitress she had some comments about the sizes we had ordered so suggested we went for smaller options which was fine (I hadn’t read about the portion sizes and there’s no indication anywhere about how big they are).
I also said to her that we were vegan, pointing at what I’d written on the form and explained that we didn’t want any egg in any of the dishes. She responded “yes, no egg, ok” so I thought we were fine.
When the noodle dishes arrived they were full of bits of mock meat and what looked like shredded tofu, it wasn’t until we were half way through both of them that it was clear that they also contained egg. The egg was very small initially but much larger bits further down in the dish.
It wasn’t until a rice dish arrived that we spotted obvious egg in that, we questioned with the waitress if it contains egg as she said yes and confirmed that the noodle dishes also contained egg.
She apologised but we felt pretty sick with what we’d already eaten, paid for the none egg dishes we had already eaten and left.
While we were there a man walked in and asked the waitresses about what was suitable for vegans, I couldn’t hear the full conversation but after a couple of different conversations with different members of staff he got up and walked out.

Great dim sum - Edit
I went here since it was close to my hotel. I got dim sum and honestly it’s delicious.
Read moreI noticed someone said it was confusing how to order but I kind of just asked immediately how to do it. Fill out the form and waitress and come. Just look helpless if no one sees you ready.
I’ve had Din Tai Fung in Taipei itself and this is a good representation of dim sum (in my humble opinion). I’d recommend this place and I know some people are turned off by the mall aspect but with the heat and humidity, it’s certainly welcome to get some air conditioning!

It’s ok - Edit
Located at the back of the food court area, you’ll come across this massive restaurant. As other reviewers have said, it’s really confusing on how to order. I was given a table and a menu and then left. I didn’t know if I was supposed to wait for someone to come over or if I needed to go to a window. I ended up filling out an ordering form and walking towards the desk and then a waitress saw me and took my form. So I still have no idea how it works haha. Good views of the water. An ok restaurant to try out if you want to

Wide array of vegetarian options - many seemed to be vegan. Chaotic place and had difficulty asking questions about ingredients. Meal tasted good.

Food was only okay, went there for breakfast and the service was very confusing, some things by the table , some part is buffet. The servers seemed to be as confused as I was 😆

Generally great but inconsistent - Edit
I took my friends one day and ordered different foods. It was great, particularly the Tom Yam Soup. So, we decided to go again the next day, but it was not as great as it was the day before. The soup was not as thick (too watery) as it was, the taste was different - not as great. Other foods were yummy.

Amazing food - Edit
We went here for lunch and immediately decided we wanted to go again for dinner. We had the chicken satay, curry and pork dumplings, ma po tofu, and the chilly prawns. You can indicate of your ordering leaflet you want no egg, less sugar and oil etc. The food tasted amazing, and was not too greasy or salty what is sometimes the case with similar restaurants. We didnt try the buffet, which made it rather expensive but def worth it. Note that the bao and dim sum are not available during the evening

Withering seed - Edit
FM was disappointed by the quality of the cooking. There was a promising range of vegan Chinese and Malay dishes on the menu many using mock meat but the preparation was not so good and the food tasted bland and one-dimensional. FM thought the chicken satay was ok.

Great View and Good Food - Edit
The water view and service is great. If you eat at the buffet, it is about the same price as the noisy food court options near by. 7 to 10 myr depending on if you order white or brown rice and 3 or 4 options. The food was fresh. The buffet had some different items the 3 times we ate there. English is spoken by several of the staff so it is easy to ask questions.

Big & Varied Menu - Edit
Was a bit sceptical to try this place after lots of bad reviews but tried it anyway as we wanted a nice restaurant experience for a change. The menu was huge with lots of options. We haven’t tried a laksa since being in Malaysia so we both had a S (the S was definitely plenty in size!) and shared some of the Satay ‘Chicken’ both were delicious and staff were really helpful. Tastiest meal in a while!
