living cafe - Edit

the last time we arranged to have dinner here was a failed attempt, as we didn't check and didn't realise the restaurant closes at 7 pm on weekdays.

this time, we went on a saturday evening (when it closes at 10 pm) and two of us shared a grilled tofu guacamole wrap and veggie delight pizza. both were delicious, wholesome and vegan, satiating without being too overwhelming.

i was especially chuffed that my omnivorous friend enjoyed her vegan meal, and is considering bringing her omnivorous, nut-allergic husband there for a meal some time.

this is an omnivorous restaurant, but raw, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and nut-free items are clearly indicated on the menu (which is available on the website). it'd be a good place to dine to gradually introduce non-vegetarian friends to some plant-based dishes.

Pros: vegan-friendly, delicious food, menu clearly states veg*n, gluten-free, nut-free, right next to sixth avenue mrt station

Cons: closes at 7 pm on weekdays, not cheap

Best of Both Worlds - Edit

I like how I can bring people who aren't vegetarians to this place and we can all eat delicious food. They make awesome smoothies with rare ingredients like bee pollen and goji berries. I buy goji berries from them, but be prepared to get sticker shock if you want to buy some of their products from the store above the restaurant.

Food at the restaurant is decently priced to a bit pricey, like their veggie burger. However the products they offer are super expensive. Bee pollen starts at $80 for a bag. Pretty much all their products are overpriced considering I've seen how much they cost back home in the states.

Go for the food, drinks and organic wine, but be very selective when buying some of the products they sell.

Pros: Good quality food, Tasty, Food is decently priced for the quality

Cons: Products they sell are mainly overpriced
