Delicious, filling and lots options!!!! - Edit
Awesome cafe with awesome food choices and most items on the menu are house-made. Cosy little place with friendly service and great sized portions. Highly recommend stopping in when in the area for lunch. Best options in Halls Gap. I live here and have tried them all around town, believe me.

Rip off - never going back - Edit
Went in, asked for vegan mushroom burger. Comes w side of chips. Waitress comes over - the chips aren't vegan (like - seriously?) and they are out of the hasbrowns that they usually put in instead. Asked if I want the chips even though not vegan. I'm like - no, I am vegan, that's why I asked for vegan.
Read moreNo offer or interest in substituting anything else. So - $27.50 for a burger and a small can of peach ice tea. The burger was nice, but not worth what I paid for it. Not that big. And the roll was like a McDonalds one so not fibrous and filling. Disappointing and a rip off.
Pros: Can't think of anything.
Cons: Not open Mon/Tues, Rip you off, Not that filling.

Absolutely delish! - Edit
About half of the menu was already vegan or could be made vegan, I had the felafel souvlaki and it was soooooo good! House made aioli, hummus and falafels all beautiful, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back on our next trip to try more of the menu! Highly recommend

Food was pretty good - Edit
Food was pretty good, and big servings. Unfortunately the service was a little standoffish. Detoured here on our way from Adel to Melb, but probably won’t make the effort again.

Delicious - Edit
We came here for lunch and were lucky enough to get a table. The cafe has nicely spaced tables and is a lovely place to sit. I was so glad it wasn’t one of those “well I can have that or that” places. A few things I wanted to try but didn’t have time. I ended up ordering the special which was a vegan breakfast including vegan halloumi. I also had a soy coffee which was lovely and strong. Service was lovely too. It’s a really nice positioned cafe.

The cafe to be seen at in Halls Gap - Edit
We came here a few times because it’s the most vegan-friendly place in town and the cafe had a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I tried most of the vegan breakfast and lunch options. The veganised smashed avo (with vegan feta, $21) was very good, even without lemon wedge, and the zucchini and sweetcorn fritters ($22) were delicious, even if they did have a sweet beetroot relish. For lunch we shared the miso and tofu burger and the cauliflower tacos (both $21). The burger was good and I was impressed it contained not a slab of tofu but an actual tofu-based patty, even if it was a bit mushy. The tacos were nice too, but a fraction of the size of the burger for the same price. I also had the bircher muesli ($17) another morning, although I don’t normally eat sweet breakfasts. It was a good mix of crunchy, fruity and creamy but did have a fig in it (not mentioned on the menu). Definitely the place to be in Halls Gap if you’re not on a mountain.

A nice little cafe located in Halls Gap. Only a few vegan options on the menu but more than most of the other establishments in Halls Gap combined!
Read moreAdditionally Halls Gap is a bit of a hive for junk and quite heavy food. This is a nice change from that

A must stop in this small town - Edit
Quite a bit of vegan stuff on the menu, the price is high for the portion size BUT the food is good quality and it is a tourist town. Been here a couple of times, the cake was heavy on the coconut oil but he savoury stuff was v nice.

Caprese toastie and banana bread - Edit
They were out of lentil burgers so we went for a Caprese vegan toasted sandwich. Tasty although I found the vegan mozzarella a little strange (it could have been toasted longer!) But delicious bread and pesto. The large hot chocolate (large indeed!) Was apparently very good, and the vegan banana bread while small was delicious too. Next time don't bother giving obvious vegans butter for their banana bread! Yum though. Nice coffee too.

Hot chocolate and chips - Edit
We were excited to find this place in town on our holidays, so we visited a few times.
Read moreIt gets very busy around lunch times (at least during school holidays), but it's a bit quieter later in the day.
The chips were very yummy, and they make very good hot chocolates - just what you need after a winter hike!
We weren't too impressed with the soggy lentil burger or very thick soup, but they were still ok.
Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and it's lots of fun to watch the currawongs, rosellas and magpies trying to snaffle snacks off unwary people outside while you eat your treats.
Pros: Hot chocolate and chips, Amusing wildlife
Cons: Gets very busy

Vegan options but make sure the kitchen is open - Edit
The first day we wanted to have lunch in Livefast Cafe we weren't lucky as the kitchen was already closed, it was around 15.15. We came back next day as there are not many vegan options in Halls Gap, we ordered black bean and mushroom burgers and some chips. We were a bit surprised our burgers were served with 2 slices of bread instead of typical burger rolls but I guess those they have are not vegan. Another vegan option for lunch they had was a salad. The burgers were tasty, I uploaded a photo.
