Macrobiotic Vegan food in a live music lounge

The live music lounge and dance club serves great quality macrobiotic food. Limited menu with seasonal vegetables. Recommend to check the event schedule if you want to eat in a quiet space. They’ll let you in for meals without charge if you ask. Avoid days with events if you can’t stand cigarette smoke in the hallway( outside the lounge but you must go through)

Down two flights of stairs to buffet

Live and Lounge VIO, Nagoya, Sunday 25/6/2017 7pm
This was in the basement, two floors below ground level, in the Flex building on Hirokoji-dori. Had a signboard out on the footpath. Appeared to have multiple functions, as there were vegetables and homemade food products for sale, a performance area as well as a bar and tables. The buffet was limited in scope but was tasty and cheap (only 800Yen/person) and one can eat all one wants and it appeared to be all vegan. Some of the dishes were nearly empty when we arrived but they were replenished when they became empty, rather than being constantly topped up. This seems a good way to avoid waste. Not sure if it is usually open to the general public on a Sunday night, but we were ultimately let in just to eat, rather than attend the performance.

Pros: cheap food, can go back for second helpings, intersting place if understood what was going on

Cons: somwhat concealed location, definite basement feel to it
