Great vegan options - Edit
I have been a regular at Little Nook for over a year. I bring many of my meat eating friends & they do like the taste of their vegan options. I love everything they have from food to dessert to coffee. Great little place that offers a good vegan menu

SO GOOD - Edit
I went there and had some vegan mac and cheese pizza. The food there is so good and reasonable in price. I loved the place itself as well, so cool with so many games all over the place. A great hangout for anyone.

The food is worth the bad bathroom. - Edit
The Vegan food keeps on getting better. I do find the pizza sauce to be bland, but I know friends that really enjoyed it. I've been getting the sandwiches and I love the bread they get. I am not that much of a bread eater, but from their bakery it is so good. They are getting more vegan desserts. Too many options. The bathroom is the huge problem. The sink is still out of order, just drips of hot water coming out. Then to dry my hands I had to go out and get some napkins. I don't understand why they don't fix the sink.
Read moreThey are very friendly to having organizations there. We had a fundraiser for an local farm sanctuary. They have LGBT night get-together's there.
Pros: The desserts, The openess of the atmosphere., The food. The sandwiches are good.
Cons: The bathroom. Get a plumber!, The pizza sauce isn't the best., Sometimes not everything is in stock.

Awesome! - Edit
The atmosphere is super cute and the food was delicious! I had the vegan Mac and cheese pizza on one half and the cheesy French fry pizza on the other half. Also had the garlic knots which are a good price (3 for $1!!!!). Super yummy and also had the rice crispy treat by the register which was super yummy. Recommend for sure! (Also they now have a small pamphlet menu by the register!)

This place is kinda confusing. The menu is just boards in odd spots kinda like a scavenger hunt. The atmosphere was decent interesting board games, shows, and music. I was very unimpressed by the mac and cheese. It was very dry not very cheesy at all. I ended up vomiting it up after which is really odd (I haven’t vomited in two years). My body didn’t react well to it at all.

oh god, where to begin - Edit
i've had so many failed experiences at little nook that i don't even want to go back again and give them my money. their prices are NEVER clearly displayed and as soon as you say you want something they begin making it- you can't ask "how much is this" and then change your mind because of this fact. the food is good but the prices are really unjustified. and it seems like the prices of the food change each time? it's never been clear how much a slice of vegan pizza is so i can't say, i think it's around 4 dollars which is steep considering the cheese is daiya and the sauce does not taste homemade. it's a good place to go with my vegan and non vegan friends because there's plenty of options for us both. but the disorganization of this restaurant/venue is so bad. i wish they would make a large menu to have displayed in the shop with prices, hire employees that actually know what they're doing, and stop having inappropriate events like when their poetry slam had tons of eating disorder related poems in a literal restaurant space where some of the patrons could be very triggered by this content. this was the case with my friends and i. it was incredibly inappropriate and i hope they get organized because i really wish i could love this place- i've given it so many tries and im just about ready to give up.

Great vegan food! - Edit
Although not entirely vegan, the Little Nook Cafe is a great place for vegans/vegetarians on Long Island. Their food is filling, delicious, and, considering the cost of vegan meals at other places, a bit easier on the wallet. The menu clearly identifies what is vegan, and the staff has always been very friendly. The atmosphere isn't my personal favorite, but it's certainly unique and interesting.
Read moreI've had the soy sausage parmigiana, vegan mac n cheese, and both the regular and vegan cheesy fries. The Outlaw and Vegan Veggie sandwiches were also hits. I'm looking forward to try the pizza and some other sandwiches (like the seitan parmigiana) the next time I'm in the area.
My only critique food-wise is about the mac n cheese: the macaroni isn't in a cheese sauce - shreds are just melted on top - and the two times I've had it, I thought it was a bit too salty/peppery (but I'm admittedly sensitive to that a lot).
Another issue, which has been touched on in a couple other reviews, is the bathroom situation. There is only one, it's in a weird spot, and I'm pretty sure when I was there last, there wasn't soap - just hand sanitizer. We've also parked on the street two out of three times I've been there, which isn't always ideal.
Pros: Filling, tasty vegan options, Vegan food clearly identified, Take-out option
Cons: Bathroom situation, Limited parking

Really underwhelmed - Edit
I'd heard about this place from a friend and was excited to try so I brought my boyfriend along. My first experience was going to use their bathroom and without any signs or warning, used it only to find the sink was out of order and I had nowhere to wash my hands and the employees replied to me that "That's why there's hand sanitizer in there." I knew there was a sink in the kitchen the employees could wash their hands in, but the fact that the sink had been broken for a while concerned me about their hygiene standards overall. The vibe was weird and dark and I just felt uncomfortable. I didn't know the area and we were hungry, so we still ordered food, but we took it to go and ate at a Starbucks (mainly so I could wash my hands.) I was let down even more because they're supposed to have great vegan desserts there, but apparently they only get them on Monday, so by Saturday night, all that was left was a single vegan whoopie pie. It was okay, same with the food we ordered. The most impressive part of the experience was that they had the ootion of violife cheese. I'm not planning on going back.

love little Nook! - Edit
Awesome place, mainly pizza and such, treats from vegan treats. They seem to know a lot about veganism as well. Just FYI the bathroom is always out of order and I’ve asked if the fries are fried in a separate fryer and they said no. So FYI veggies, if you don’t want your stuff in the same as the meat fryer then don’t get the fries. They are very honest about it actually, they warned me in the beginning and I asked later on to make sure they haven’t change it. Only I am just not sure why they offer fries together with the veggie burger and such. The personal pizza is awesome every time, 2 people can eat it. I wish they had some healthier options, but this is not that kind of place so. Cool dive and cool staff!

Great Find - Edit
Im thrilled to have found this restaurant on Happy Cow. I'm hooked on the vegan cheesy french fry pizza with bbq sauce. The mac and cheese pizza was also very good. I've tried a few vegan desserts, also very tasty.
Read moreI brought 5 of my non-vegan friends here recently and they ordered from the regular menu and were all happy with their meal selections.
The staff is great, friendly and very helpful. I wish they would open another location closer to me, in the Eastern Queens/Nassau area.
They aren't fully vegan, so 4 stars is the max, but I give them 5 stars!
Pros: Great food, lots of vegan options, Can order a personal pizza if you don't want the l
Cons: it's a long drive for me to get here, but still wo

There are tons of vegan options at Little Nook including a fully stocked dessert case filled with vegan cakes, doughnuts and more. We got the vegan Mac and cheese and the sausage panini they were both amazing. The decor is eclectic with a pool table, karaoke and board games. We will definitely be back again!
