Superb - Edit
Had their goodies at the Vegan Market in Somerville, MA. The line was out the door when we got there so we knew it would be good. They have quite the variety and we enjoyed everything from the double chocolate croissant to funfetti cookie to cannoli danish to pistachio-cranberry doughnut.

Best There Is - Edit
I drive 3 hours from Philly (6hrs round trip) for these croissants. I feel like that’s enough of a statement, but just in case…. These croissants hit every sweet spot for me… flaky, dense, rich, creative. Sometimes the flavors get a little too kooky and the stuffed croissants are indeed very stuffed, but honestly, if I can’t get the Everything Chipotle, the pretzel/pesto/olive, or the mushroom croissants 3-4 times per year I think I might perish?

One of the best vegan pastries, both sweet and savory. I ordered 4 to try at The Vegan Market. Next time, will order more!

Savory pastry HEAVEN 😍 - Edit
Little Loaf has quickly become an obsession. We first tried their pastries at Peaceful Provisions and were hooked! They make the most perfect savory pastries, and are the only bakery (to my knowledge) making vegan savory pastries. The mushroom bechamel tart and pesto feta danish are to live for.
Read moreYou can get Little Loaf goodies at lots of local vegan businesses: Peaceful Provisions, Sweet Maresa’s, Lagusta’s, and Blackbird Info Shop to name a few. They are also at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory on select days. They have a few items that are not vegan, so be sure to pay close attention to the labels!
Update: Little Loaf is now 100% vegan, although Happy Cow still won’t let me give them full stars!

Fantastically flakey pastries - Edit
We were visiting from Portland, Oregon which has some awesome vegan bakeries and the flakiness of these pastries at Little Loaf was fantastic. We came back for lunch as well and got a few breakfast sandwiches. Also, the really know how to make a good vegan cappuccino! Staff was super friendly and gave us other good vegan recommendations in town.

A must try - Edit
Simply a must-try if you are in the area. If not, they travel to some New England events like vegan festivals and markets. I personally have driven over an hour to get their croissants and I would do so again in a heartbeat

Absolutely amazing - Edit
We stumbled across this place by accident on our way to New York City. What a great place! The food is all Vegan and super tasty. The service is very nice and helpful. I immediately felt completely at home. If we weren't passing through, I would definitely have stopped by again!

Best vegan croissants ever! - Edit
Welcoming, spacious, and cool space on a hot day. Excellent—and not overpriced—iced oat milk late. The croissants were generously sized and out of this world! Pretzel croissant is unexpectedly awesome and the almond croissant is what dreams are made of. A must-visit if you’re in the area.

How anyone gave LL less than 5 stars must be an error. THE BEST! - Edit
I have never had better vegan pastries ever, anywhere. And everyone who works here is lovely. The breakfast sandwich is a must, and then just try one of everything else.

Absolute pastry perfection - Edit
We tried the breakfast sandwiches, chocolate croissant, mushroom bechamel pastry, blueberry lemon danish, and pesto and cheese danish. All were absolutely perfect. Great prices, the people were so friendly, and we can’t wait to go back and maybe actually take some pictures of the food before we eat it!

All vegan, two tasty sandwiches, good coffee, pleasant atmosphere - Edit
We wanted a lunch rather than a sweet snack and the two sandwich items hit the spot. One was a vegan egg-sausage-cheese on a croissant (delicious and filling) and a vegan ham-and-jam on a roll (tasty and a little sweet, with nice greens). The seating space is comfortable, spacious, and a pleasant place to hang out, write your novel, work at your laptop, or converse with friends. The Little Loaf Bakeshop appears to be currently the only retail business in the large Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory, a mixed-use space for artists and community events a half-block off Main Street. Outstanding service. Excellent coffee selection and quality. LGBTQ+ owned!

Delicious - Edit
Have had some of their items at other cafes in the area and had to see where the source was. We hadn’t looked up the hours and we’re surprised when we got there at 1:15 on a Saturday to be told they’d just closed. Place was empty besides the person closing down who took pity on us and very kindly gave us food that was going to a food bank: a danish, a chocolate croissant and the best almond croissant I think I’ve ever had. Marzipan-ish filling and super crunchy sugared sliced almonds sprinkled on top.

(Also some super cute outdoor cats hanging out by the parking lot.)
Pros: delicious and flakey pastries, not bready, Nice variety of sweet and savory
Cons: limited hours
