Absolutely fabulous wonderful friendly place in the world - Edit

Have been coming to this little secret hideaway now for a few years and it always makes you feel so warm and happy to be there. The cute little tea room with a wood burning stove, home made delicious cakes, some vegan, some gluten free with home made vegetable soups, different teas, coffee's and hot chocolate. Local artists work for sale with in incense filled gift shop and super friendly staff. With a small plant nursery outside and seating for the summer it's a beautiful getaway in the national trust Forest. Can only give 5 stars but it should be 10.

Cons: None.

Not for Cyclists - Edit

Made to feel unwelcome and intimated by old gardener who operates the rundown plant nursery outside. Very rudely told us to move our bikes and knocked out belongings onto the ground. Will never be going back there again which is a shame for the café owner who we paid £50 for coffees and cakes!

Pros: Good selection of Cake and hot coffee.

Cons: Quite expensive but would get more customers if gr

great little find - Edit

We used the happy cow app to find something other than coffee franchises for lunch near Tring and were delighted. Homemade butternut squash, coconut milk and lime soup with cheese scone was served in vintage crockery accompanied by a swinging soundtrack. It was hot and tasty and really welcome after a stroll on a chilly autumn late morning. The tea was served in a lovely china teapot which didn't leak and, along with a delicious slice of Victoria sponge, the whole effect was deliciously quaint. Thoroughly recommended!

Peaceful and Serene For Tea and Cake - Edit

This beautiful little hideaway place is becoming increasingly popular. Situated in a large wooded area it is a garden center of sorts, in a hippie way - you'll know what I mean when you visit, and has a beautiful spiritually orientated shop attatched that I always love browsing. The cafe seems to be an old barn conversion and the original beams run along the roof with walls and celieings having a lovely warped thing going on (sorry my descriptive skills elude me at the moment). The tables are fairly squeezed in but it is a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The tea is served in an assortment of irregular cups, but I like the homely vibe this brings. There is not much food on offer beyond cake and buscuits, but the tea is great, their selection wide.

Whenever someone from out of town visits I nearly always take them here as it is such a little gem. Certainly check this out if you have time.

Pros: Great Tea, Peaceful

Cons: No Meals
