Limited vegan options

The food here was not good. I had the veggie black bean burger, and really didn't enjoy it. They barely have any vegan options at all. I wouldn't eat here again.

Cons: Minimal vegan options

Restaurant week forever please!

Lil Havana is a primo spot in Baltimore’s lack of vegan restaurant scene. At least, for the restaurant week menu. They had clearly marked options for vegan eats, including dessert! It was amazing and the wait staff was lovely.

I’m hoping they make these items a permanent fixture on their menu. I would go there all the time just for the avocado rolls!!

The “scallops” made of turnips are melt in your mouth soft. The bed of risotto they lay upon is divine.

****and cardboard straaawssss ahhhhh yessssss!!!!****

Pros: Restaurant week menu, Waterfront, Staff

Cons: Little parking

Li'l heaven

Super cute place!

It is what it says on the box, a Cuban themed Restaurante y Cantina Cubana. The decor is spot on. There's a large floorspace and lots of great spaces to sit, and I imagine it would be a great place to meet people for a fun night out, a quiet date, or a leisurely bite to eat solo, even though it's discretely tucked around the waterfrontage side of the building, to the right. The staff are also really rather easy on the eye.

When we attended they still had a special menu from 'Restaurant Week' which was the week before. Enterprisingly, there was a clearly labelled vegan dish across all three of the courses. It was a quiet Sunday morning, we were hungover, and ravenous beyond all reasonable measure. We ordered tostones, fried yucca, avocado rolls, a fajita bowl, the dessert 'xango' and enough black drip coffee to sink Cuba.
All were fantastic, particularly the avo rolls and the xango.

The waitstaff were reasonably knowledgable about what vegan food meant, and were able to amiably check with the kitchen on the things they weren't sure of.

It is unclear wether these excellent options would make it to the permanent menu, I hope so and encourage you to hit them up for the vegan offerings that they had during Restaurant Week. It would be great to have some more reliable offerings in this otherwise sparse area for vegan fare.

Definitely check it out.

eh. good with a mixed diet crowd, but I would not go for myself

Went here with family and had chips with salsa and guac, the veggie tacos, and the avocado mouse (no whipped cream). The rice and beans are good but tacos are only okay. They eat like something a non-veg person would think we want to eat. Plus that is like the only veg friendly entree on the menu. I did like that they had dessert, but overall I would not go there myself. An okay option with a mixed diet crowd, and I like the atmosphere.

Pros: good location, vegan friendly dessert option

Cons: very limited options

Nice Spot

Finding the entrance is a little tricky - go down the side, walking towards the water; the entrance is on the salmon colored portion of the building. This would be a great date locale, as the outdoor seating overlooks the water. I had the veggie tacos (and ordered some rice and beans to-go for later). I told the waitress that I was vegan and she said that she would ensure I didn't get any dairy or animal products. The food was very tasty and now that I know what the exterior of this place looks like, I will definitely return.

Pros: will veganize food, street parking, great location/view

Cons: entrance is a little confusing
