Amazing vegan crepes - Edit
There’s a reason why Lil Choc is one of my favorite eats in NY. These crepes are good for any and every meal. I usually have them for weekend brunch, but we just had them for dinner and it was lit. For savory, we first had the burrito and jackfruit bbq crepes. The burrito stuck to the basics with whole black beans, avocado, and a (cashew?) crema to balance it out. It was delish. The jackfruit bbq wasn’t my favorite of the savory crepes (others have blown my mind in the past) but my gf really liked it. The bbq sauce was on the smoky side, where I tend to prefer the sweet and tangy approach. For both of these the highlight was the crepe itself, with a batter that had a subtle sweetness to complement the filling. We finished with a strawberry, Nutella, whipped cream dessert crepe and this was a veritable treat for the tastebuds. I’m a sucker for sweet crepes. I enjoyed sitting outside for the first time and am glad to see they expanded the seating bc this place was always busy and getting a table took a while when I visited.

Incredible experience - Edit
We had a large group of six. The staff were attentive and very friendly. They sat us with no issue, and even let us split the check up. I know it’s a lot more work and I really appreciate not only the incredible food but how incredible, kind and patient our staff was. Beautiful decor and we sampled quite a bit of the menu and everything was outstanding!

French vibes in Brooklyn - Edit
This is a cozy place that serves mainly crepes. I tried both sweet and savory crepes, and I can recommend to try both. They also have a variety of smoothies.

VGF crepes! - Edit
I always LOVE when a place is 100% vegan and 100% gf.
Read moreI ordered the savoury afternoon tea with the room for mushroom crepe.
It was OK but I was fairly disappointed with the baked goods. The scone was very small and crumbly which made it hard to eat especially if you wanted to add the clotted cream and jam (which were both delicious). One of the cookies was OK, not really sure what the flavour was and the other was chocolate chip and still warm which was a delight.
The mushroom crepe was good but I kept getting bitter taste pockets which took away from it.
We also ordered a strawberry shortcake crepe, a Nutella and banana crepe and a pizza crepe with caramelized onion and mushrooms.
The strawberry shortcake was very good but I didn't not like the crunchy toppings, they were way too crunchy and took away from the crepe imo.
I did not like the Nutella and banana at all. But others seemed to like it.
The pizza one was my favourite of everything.
I'd go back, but only for crepes and skip the baked goods.
I had a lavender matte tea which was excellent.

I absolutely love the coziness of the space. The teas are great and when you order the scones and cookies with tea it feels a bit like a high tea experience. Crepes are good, especially the sweet crepes. The burrito crepe is delicious!

Shroom crepe so yum! - Edit
I heard the restaurant will have new owners soon and I think will no longer be 100% vegan but for now still everything on menu is vegan. We got 3 crepes for sharing, hands down the favorite was the Room For Mushroom. Also good was the Burrito crepe and we tried a weekend special crepe that was Chikn and Honey that got to be too sweet for us. My friend's daughter got a nutella and strawberry crepe which she devoured. The cocktails were yummy, we got a Bee Knees and a Lemonade Prosecco spritz. Curious to see what's next, supposedly new owners also own Fancy Radish which has excellent vegan food, will be checking back!

Omg I haven’t heard about the new owners yet - worst news ever about them possibly no longer being fully vegan.

Yes! Check their Instagram! The pinned post speaks to this but I guess the good news is they aren't closing all together... we shall see!!

Tbh I wish they would just close if they’re gonna serve dead animals now - I personally avoid eating at mixed places as much as possible, and definitely never go to such places in NYC considering there are so many fully vegan places here. And I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable supporting flakes like these anymore.

Slow. Not worth the wait. - Edit
I live in NJ and happened to have a brunch in the area, so I was excited to try the crepes at Little Choc Apothecary finally. I had heard of this place many years ago, but living far was never an option for me to travel across two rivers for a crepe. So, today finally I was so happy to try these famous crepes.
Read moreBUT one hour of wait time to eat two crepes is not worth it at all. I will definitely not be going back, even if I end up being in the area.
I wrote a longer, more detailed review on Yelp.
While we waited, here is what else occurred:
• 3 separate customers (each a pair) came and left because they were told they had to wait 30-35min for crepes.
• A person who had placed a delivery order called and spoke to the tall gentleman concerned why the food had not yet been delivered. They were told the delivery man just left. Which was true, because we saw the whole thing. The delivery man was leaning on his motorcycle for at least 30min waiting for the food.
• A customer who was seated upstairs came down to ask when their food was coming.
• A young woman who came after us and was sitting at the bar, asked how long before her crepe arrives (right after ours were brought to us). She was told it was ready. I don’t know how that happened, when she came at least 25min after we had arrived.
But here are my suggestions based on what I saw today.
1. Your staff needs to speed up the crepe making process. Crepes should be made faster! They are making thin crepes which don’t take long to cook. I saw three hot plates for crepes and one person AT A TIME making crepes!! Everything took forever. As if there is no sense of urgency at all. You either need two people to make crepes when you are busy or you need the staff to work faster. The staff did not seem happy, they looked overworked. And they looked like they didn’t care to speed up the process.
2. You are losing business and customers. It’s unreasonable amount of wait time (50min -60min) for crepes.
I wish you continued success.
Pros: Crepes were good. Not fluffy, but tasty. , Tall man who took our order was polite. , Cute place.
Cons: Slow. Staff had no sense of urgency. , Wait time was 1 hour for two crepes. , Would not go again.

I got the lunch deal, which includes a savory crepe and a bowl of soup. I chose the mushroom crepe, which was tasty, but I would have liked it better if it was more cheesy/creamy. The mushroom-quinoa soup was good.

A bit disappointed - Edit
My expectations of this place might’ve been high because of all the reviews but both the food and drinks weren’t really that great. I ordered matcha latte, it was super bitter and not well blended. Both of our savory crepes were just ok, nothing special. And I just took a bit of the dessert we ordered and couldn’t finish it because it just didn’t taste good. The waitress we had though was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, will not come back.

Kinda disappointing - Edit
I was super excited to find a vegan AND gluten free crêpe restaurant WITH an excellent herbal tea selection. Amazing! The menu was creative for sure but the food itself was overly salted. I think I'll do better to take some of their concoctions and recreate them for myself at home. Also the servers were friendly but the service itself was sloppy at every possible juncture. They've got all the right components at this restaurant, they just need to do some tweaking to get everything to excellent.
