They have a cowsmilk option for the coffees, otherwise fully vegan. Good atmosphere and great sandwiches cake/cookies. Great lunch place!

Ze hebben heerlijke verse baksels, koekjes, taart, bonbons etc. De sfeer is knus en je kunt er leuk zitten. Ik had verwacht dat het iets meer een winkeltje met ook (leuke vegan) houdbare producten was (aan de hand van de foto’s) maar toen ik er was was dat helaas niet zo.

What an incredible experience! - Edit
We expected an average experience but this quaint deli really caught us by surprise. It is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or even for just a coffee and dessert! There are so many lovely things about this place I'm surprised it isn't top rated on Happy Cow.

The food is super yummy and I would highly recommend the visit here! We ordered a Greek lentil meatball wrap and a crispy tofu sandwich. The lentil wrap was alright, not so bad however it was severely outshined by the crispy tofu. The tofu was so perfectly marinated and the texture was incredible. Maybe one of the best tofu sandwiches we've had!
The drinks are also top notch! I have been trying a chai latte everywhere I go in the Netherlands and, believe me when I say, this was the best Iced Dirty Chai Latte (with soy milk) that I have ever tried! I don't give this compliment lightly, it was truly the best and I absolutely recommend it to everyone. We also got an iced Americano which was brewed to perfection. I personally am not a huge fan of Americano's but I tried it from my partner and this one was really great quality!
We also got cookies: the red velvet cookie was decadent, it's been a while since we've had a cookie that yummy. The chocolate chip was soft and perfectly chunky.
Needless to say the service is excellent, the barista is so kind and social and I noticed quite a few regulars coming in and having casual conversations with them. It really showed how closely knit this spot is in the town.
EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT THIS PLACE! You will not regret it.

I made a slight detour to Zwolle just to try the vegan baked goods at this cafe and boy, did it exceed expectations! The lamington was the best I've ever had (as the Kiwi barista said it would be. Happy Aussie here!) and they have a large range of delicious and interesting cookies and cakes too, some of which we took to go 😋

I honestly thought I’d already reviewed this place as it is one of my all time favourites but apparently I hadn’t (tsk). Lisa’s Deli is BY FAR the BEST vegan cafés I know aside from Little World Kitchen in Utrecht. Their pastry game is UNMATCHED. This is genuinely one of the reasons I still visit my grandparents (jk, lol…. or not). The interior is super cozy, pretty and kid-friendly without that being too in-your-face. James, an owner/barista is incredible at latte art so that’s always fun. I sometimes wish they would rotate their savoury dishes more often but I usually go for a brownie or cookie anyways haha.

Not to mention the interior is super cozy and pleasant, and there is a spot where children can play!

Lovely little nook of vegan deliciousness - Edit
I come here on a weekly basis to enjoy their well made cappuccino's and baked goods (looking at you Pear cinnamon cake!). They have a diverse assortment of freshly baked sweets (cakes, pie, cookies, cupcakes etc.), freshly made lunch items (wraps, tosties, burger like buns etc.) and drinks (Cappuccino, Cortado, Chai, Teas, Sodas etc etc.). Though a bit on the pricey side, their portions are big (a slice of cake grants you one hell of a thick slice).

Situated in an old butcher's shop, the building itself is very pretty and decorated in tune to the age of the building (vintage). They have a small but well decorated sitting area, a bar, a small kids area and they can provide the wifi password and have outlets if you decide to take your laptop with you to get some work done.
If you don't want to sit down you can choose to take away for which they provide compostable non-greased carton boxes or you can take your own box with you.
They have a fully vegan menu and provide cow's milk upon request.
Which is why I'm slightly confused by the Vegetarian label here on HappyCow instead of the 'vegan' or even 'vegan options' label.
If you're vegan, vegetarian or just someone that can appreciate good food I highly recommend visiting and enjoying their delicious goods.

Lovely veg spot in Zwolle - Edit
Good food in a beautiful building, had a cauliflower burger and a falafel wrap. Both where delicious and filling. The Berry smoothie was lovely and we got a complementary bottle of water with herbs.

Cafe staff were very friendly to explain that all but two items at the time were vegan (two specific muffins). We asked for recommendations and they explained all the options which could also be seen pre-made in the bakery case. We opted to share the jackfruit tosti and summer salad with sweet potato, vegan feta, avocado and tahini dressing. The salad was so good, I ate almost half before even thinking about adding some of the dressing - which then added a whole other layer of nutty flavor. My husband really enjoyed the jackfruit sandwich. It seemed reminiscent of tuna salad to me, very hearty and flavorful but not my favorite. Upon their recommendation we also got a snickers bar for dessert. Everything was yummy and obviously high quality.

We were in Zwolle and wanted to try this place, and I'm very glad we did! They have a good range of savoury and sweet things if you're hungry (we had the vegan Oreo cupcakes, though there was plenty to choose from). The coffee was nice as well.

On a return visit we tried their savoury dishes and they were delicious. We've only been a couple of times, but this will be the first place we go whenever we're in Zwolle.

Best deli for vegans in Zwolle - Edit
They have a wide range of vegan/vegetarian options to take on to go, to do your groceries or enjoy inside. Personally I really enjoy their carrotcake muffin, aubergine sandwich and the grilled cheese (tosti). The coffee is amazing, especially if you like an oatmilk flat white.

Lisa's is one of my favourite places to go in my town! At Lisa's I'm always wholesomely welcomed by the owners, and we will get served good coffees, smoothies or other drinks.
Read moreI am a regular for drinking a cop of coffee there, however I can never deny the delicious treats they have prepared. Be it a cupcake, cookie or a slice of cake, there's always something new I haven't seen before and it is really amazing.
Lisa's knows very well how to make her menu items, and by that, also my wallet, as the place isn't the cheapest. That is, however very understandable for the quality you get.
I would definitely recommend, and I hope they'll someday remove that one single cookie recipe that isn't entirely vegan - so we can colour this place dark green on the happy cow map!
