Quel plaisir de trouver un endroit où il est facile de manger végane! Bien que le resto soit omnivore, les options véganes sont clairement identifiées sur le menu. Malgré l'hésitation, nous avons opté pour la poutine végane! Très bonne et funky avec sa sauce tomatée et ses légumes sautés.

I go back a few times a year just for the vegan poutine and I order a bunch to take back home!!! I also tried a vegan breakfast and the vegan falafel salad which were both delicious as well! The service is always wonderful and they are dog friendly on the terrace! Thank you for existing I’m in love with the vegan poutine haha!!! Lots of love from Saguenay 💚

Great vegan breakfast - Edit
We enjoyed a wonderful vegan breakfast here. I had a breakfast bagel sandwich served with a vegan pate and veggie condiments. Plate included a generous serving of 4 different and very fresh fruits. My partner had the breakfast platter which included the same fruit and pâté but also a tofu curry scramble and baguette with delicious cashew cheese. Coffee was good and strong and served with plant milk.

Highly recommend this place (but call for a reservation because it is popular) when visiting Rivière du Loup.

Had a delicious fried rice with tofu and grilled nuts (and curry). I can’t get over the flavours! Very very good food. My bf has the vegan poutine which was also super tasty. Looking forward to trying more!

A nice suprise in Rivière-du-Loup! - Edit
My classmates and I had to stop in Rivière-du-Loup and we chose to stop at l'Innocent for dinner. If I remember well they had vegetarian nachos, and very much appreciated the beer selection. My poutine was instagram-worthy, with flowers and vegetables! Not quite the taste I expected, I would have taken more punch (maybe not salty enough?), but overall a nice surprise to find such good vegetarian and vegan options in RDL. I recommend it and would like to go back again to sample desserts!

We had a delicious hummous and roasted veggie wrap as well as a vegan poutine with roasted veggies and faux goat cheese... both were very satisfying. They also had a variety of beers that were very nice. The small-town style neighborhood is very hilly and quite charming!

Tried L’innocent on a stopover in Riviere-du-loup... it was nice food in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. The service was a bit slow for us that night, but all in all it was a very nice experience.
Read moreI had the vegan fried rice, which was lovely, and my daughters had the noodle soup, vegan-style. They also shared the vegan cheesecake, which was delicious. Worth stopping by for solid vegan choices and something for everyone.
