Great garden and buffet

Always a delicious buffet with at least 90% vegan options. Lovely garden and always very friendly staff.

5 stars!!!

(first of all: the café is all vegetarian. all dishes from the buffet are vegan except for one which is butter. the only non-veg thing at this place is sausage you can buy at the little shop attached to the café! so if you just want to eat from the buffet, no worries!)

*the food*: was very nice with an all-you-can-eat style buffet. there's a great variety of salads, homemade bread, croûtons, hummus and also 2 warm dishes (e. g. risotto with veggies and chili sin carne). you can have oatly milk for tea.

*the staff*: is friendly and able to speak english. you can ask for all ingredients in case of allergies etc.

*the ambiance*: it's so lovely, the interior is nicely decorated with pictures, old furniture and plants.

*the garden*: there are different gardens. one is next to the café so you can eat under the apple trees. kids can play with little wooden animal figurines.
a small part of the garden is full of raspberries and you can pick little baskets for 40kr each. that's totally fun and they are super yummy💞.
linnés gardens can be visited too, you could go for a walk and absorb all the colourful flowers with your eyes.

*everything else*: linné is from råshult which literally is the reason why this place exists. therefore, you can visit his house (it's now a museum) and learn something about his life and his work. i guess sometimes there's even "linné himself" aka an actor who will guide you through it.
there are so many more lovely details, just come here and check it out!!

Nice flavors in a beautiful environment

Most of the dishes on the vegetarian buffet are completely vegan, and typically involve very nice, summery flavours. The complimentary coffee is from a local roastery, and is really good. The whole place has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. In addition to this, the surroundings are really beautiful, and it's highly recommended to either go for a hike, or check out the garden and the Linnæus museum.

The restaurant also serves milk, egg and meat products.

Pros: Lots of vegan options on the buffet, Friendly staff, Beautiful surroundings

Charming experience

This is not just a restaurant, but an experience. Dining is in an open air patio overlooking the gardens comprising the Karl von Linne birthplace/farm. We took a tour together with lunch, and were guided around the gardens/farm by Karl himself -- dressed up in period costume with powdered wig and breeches -- okay, a Karl impersonator who was lovely. The food is buffet style, healthy, tasty and nicely presented. The staff was helpful and friendly, and all facilities were quite nice. The location is well off the beaten path, so you need to go there a bit as a destination. Worth it!

Pros: Ambiance, Food, Staff

Cons: Bit remote
