L’Impossible

Nice staff, but very boring vegan main. The vegan main was a burger (without buns) accompanied by a little bowl of rice with falafel bits. The burger was very dry and gritty. However, the food was presented nicely. It was fine for me to eat here once, but I’m not excited about the food enough to return.

Impossibly bad

Went for my sisters fiftieth birthday. We walked out after they got everything wrong on almost every dish. Cold, under cooked, over cooked, wrong dishes. A bad night for them and a memorably bad event for us. Worst thing was the owner sent her waitress to deal with a very bad situation and then slagged is off in French to other customers: my wife speaks perfect French so rebuffed her for her lack of professionalism, politely in front of the alarmed guests. Avoid.

Pros: Close to town, Nice building, Apologetic staff

Cons: Owner is very bad at managing, Food is very average, not haute cuisine at all, Over priced and under delivered

Impossible to Top this Restaurant!

My husband and I recently traveled to Chamonix for the second time. We are truly in love with the town and were excited to return. Our favorite restaurant, Munchie, happened to be closed during our visit and we decided to look at Happy Cow for a recommendation. We happened upon L'Impossible, which happened to be close to our hotel and were treated to a very unique and wonderful experience. Every single thing about this restaurant is done with care. We were greeted by a lovely hostess who made us feel as if we were home. The ambience of this place is incredible. Beautiful white linens, tastefully decorated, warm and inviting. Even the menu had incredible messages: "Allow you a moment of serenity and peace. Take care of this precious and convivial time. Allow you the respect of a kitchen where everything is home made and made at the moment. The waiting time between the courses is filled by our passion and by our appointment to give you a special moment. Wishing you good tasting. The chef, Auro Bucci." This is just the beginning of the care that is bestowed on each guest. On the menu are vegan options. A salad with beautiful radishes and tomatoes. A main course that includes a delicious tempeh stew. Three options for vegan dessert! We ended the evening with a shot of limoncello. Beautiful experience and would have visited again if we could have. If you are in Chamonix, you must visit!

Pros: Ambiance, Warm atmosphere, Delicious food

Cons: none!

Excellent food

We were very impressed by the quality of the vegan meals - there were several options for starter, main and dessert. Very friendly staff who completely understood vegan cuisine and beautiful chalet style restaurant. Fondant dessert was a bit dry but ice cream was excellent. Highly recommend for a relaxing evening dinner.

Pros: Quality of meals, Restaurant atmosphere

Cons: None

Wonderful evening

The experience, the ambience and the food were 5stars. I would give it five stars but unfortunately can’t as it won’t let me.

Pros: One main vegan option, but amazing

Cons: None

Just awesome

Not an easy town to find really great vegan food - but this place has it. They have vegan options on the menu that are interesting, delicious and thoughtful. They even have a vegan desert section and a selection of organic French wines. Just a lovely couple that runs that place with care and attention to the quality of their food. Can’t recommend enough.

Worth the Wait.

Delicious vegan food. Went there twice. The service was a little slow only 2 servers there. But the food makes up for it. All of the ingredients are about 80% organic. The flavors meshed very well. They even brought out to us a little soup to try. Desserts I could have one of each. Some were raw.

Pros: Decor, vegan food & raw vegan desserts

Cons: Slow service.

Special Night

Mum and I had a great time here on Christmas night. The atmosphere was beautiful, they even had their pet dog in the restaurant lounging near the fire. The service was wonderful, all the staff so kind! There were several vegan/ vegetarian options and the waiter was helpful when we were choosing a wine. The Moscato was delicious, as was the champaign! The food was nice enough, however was very rich and both Mum and I felt a bit off the next day. Could definitely have shared a dessert instead of having one each. It's quite expensive but nice for a special occasion.

Romantic dinner, beautiful vegan meal

I can't rave enough about this place! They offered a vegetarian meal that was very easily made vegan and one of the most delicious dinners I've ever had! Romantic ambiance and great service. Don't miss this place!

A very nice place to eat

This restaurant is not in the city center but it’s worth a visit. You can find dishes for vegans, vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Some of them are also glutin free and everything is homemade, even the bread. A special surprise for me, was the dessert which I have selected: a delicious pudding with almonds and vegan.
The stuff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

Pros: homemade dishes, delightful food , great atmosphere

Toujours fermé!

Première visite: fermé pour une soirée privée. Le lendemain fermé sans raison, même pas un petit mot sur la porte. Pas très commercial...

We love L'Impossible

Excellent contemporary Italian cuisine using very good local ingredients (mostly cereals, vegetables and legumes). There are always several vegetarian options and at least one vegan option. The cook is vegetarian himself and is glad to accommodate requests.

The staff is very nice and the place is beautiful. During the weekend there are live jazz concerts and the atmosphere is great.

We have been there twice and both times we found it excellent. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth the price.

Pros: Food, Atmoshphere, Staff

Cons: Price

First time I've ever tipped significantly

Fantastic for vegans! Menu items are clearly marked in English who they are suitable for! Around 4 mains 3 entrees and 4 desserts are vegan. I chose broccoli ravioli with nori tofu, celery chilli soup and tofu cheesecake.

The ravioli was UNBELIEVABLE! Probably the best main I've ever had.

The soup was spot on and the cheesecake very nice (although well outshone by the savoury items).

For 2 our meal cost 68 euro. We happily handed over 80.

Probably the best part was while waiting for our paid entree and main they brought out 2 exquisite entrees absolutely free.

What a special place. Bring your special someone here if you can.

Pros: Exquisite French vegan cuisine

Cons: a little pricy for some but well worth it

Did you have entree, main dish, dessert for this price or it also includes the wine? It's a bit expensive
