Okay guys, I am not often compelled to post restaurant reviews (I am working on that) but this place was standout and deserving of a callout full of superlatives. It’s been a few days since my girlfriend and I ate here for dinner and the flavors are still lingering. We made a reservation early in the day, but we ended up being the only customers (it was late and we stayed til close). The server greeted us at the door and assured us the late hour would not be a problem. We sat in the back corner by an old out-of-tune piano and quickly soaked in the atmosphere — the dim lighting strung overhead and natural bamboo thatching felt like an oasis nestled into the neighborhood alley behind the garage door. Not only was the server very knowledgeable of the menu but he knew how everything was made as well — EVERYTHING is made in-house from scratch (I.e. any nut-based creams or sauces are created in the kitchen from raw nuts). My girlfriend ordered the mushroom penne with truffle oil, and I had the mushroom gyros. Both were incredible. I never had mushrooms prepared this way before — sautéed with thyme and other spices it tasted exactly like a perfectly pan seared New York strip steak. Needless to say we were blown away. We wanted dessert but the entree portions were huge and there was simply no room left in our stomachs. 10/10 would recommend to anyone vegan or non-vegan.

Not obvious from the front but happycow has the location right. All food is made from scratch on the day, organic and delicious! Staff were super friendly and we are excited to go back for sure!! It is a little pricey but treat yourself!

Read moreA must if you are in Athens. I’ve been here three Times. Cozy environment and very friendly staff. Me and my friend went here twice during our trip to Athens.
The first time we had the mushroom pasta and the risotto with asparsgus, macadamia och lime.
The second time we tried two specials of the day, gyros made of oyster-mushrooms and home-made gluten-free bread and a mushroom risotto. My favourite was the pasta but all dishes were fantastic!

The food was great. We had the mushrooms gyrus and the tortellini (although it wasn't actually a tortellini) and it was really good. I recomand the pink lemonade, interesting and tasty. The stuff is very nice and friendly. The place looks very good.

I had the portion of mushroom gyros and I couldn't believe how tasty it was. It was so good, I had to double check with the waiter if it was 100% plant based. 😂 I've had pork gyros before and this tastes exactly the same if not better. Loved the place, the music they were playing and ultimately their food. Coming back again for sure.

Really the best vegan place in Athens. They offer traditional Greek dishes made vegan. The place is small but cosy, the kitchen is open, and the staff are extremely friendly and passionate about what they do. Definitely recommended! We had fava and dokas as appetisers, followed by chili sin carne and a traditional Greek soup with vegan meatballs. The portions were just so big that we didn’t have any room for desserts, even if they all looked delicious.

Everything great as usual, they now serve Beyond Meat burgers. I ordered dokas again, and we also tried the Snickers cake which was absolutely divine.
In Summertime you can dine in a very nice veranda.

We had a delicious dinner here, with exceptionally friendly and efficient service, despite the place being packed with locals of different ages, which made for a great atmosphere. The young waiter spoke good English and was very helpful with advice on food and drink choices. The food is a welcome modern take on traditional Greek cuisine.

I took my non-vegan Athens host here when I was in town to try it out and he was amazed with the food. I was blown away myself! The mushroom gyros are to die for! It was so good, we took some other guests here a second night! They had a vegan baked feta in paper special that was to die for. We ordered two.

First vegan restaurant in Athens. They use hemp flour in their pizza. CBD oil for salads. This restaurant exists for two years. Their Avocado comes from Kreta. All ingredients are 80% organic. They are absolutely gluten-free even recommendable for gluten allergics. They use hemp flour, chickpeas flour, buckwheat flour, potato flour, brown rice flour and tapioca flour.

I was blown away by the food here. The mushroom gyros were exquisite (I can't believe the bread was gluten-free) and the truffle pasta with wild mushrooms was divine (so creamy and flavorful). I also ordered a rose lavender lemonade, which was perfectly floral and tart. The only disappointment was the Snickers dessert, which tasted a little off as if the cashews in the cake were bitter. The service wasn't great because the server was a little cold, but the food came out faster than other reviews implied (about 20-30 minutes). The atmosphere was nice - I sat in the back garden. The prices were higher than most restaurants I've been to in Greece, but the entire meal was only €35 and it was worth it.

This restaurant is incredible! I loved everything I tried, portions were very satisfying. It is a bit pricey for Greek standards but it's definitely worth it. Will go back as soon as I'm Athens again... this is exactly what I did and everything was still incredible... didn't even have time to take a photo as it looked so tasty I had to dig in!
