Last Chance for Burmese Tofu

Lil Deb Oasis was a great find in Hudson, NY.

The positives were super clear: great atmosphere, fun cocktail menu, tons of gluten free/vegan options, and decor with so much humor and wit.

Unfortunately, Lil Deb’s Oasis will permanently close in October 2026. Factors such as winter tourism drop off, real estate, and a number of fees/pricing concerns definitely made it hard to compete. As far as pricing, it felt as if the fees were added to an already highly priced menu. I saw people online say prices have continually rose since opening, but at an already high cost point plus additional required fees, there felt like there were better values all across Warren St. Still - the Burmese tofu dish I ordered was probably the most interesting thing I’ve had in Hudson.

Fun, funky place with some options

I loved the atmosphere. It was very artsy and eclectic. The staff was friendly and were very accommodating when I asked to make a vegetarian dish vegan. They brought me out four different vegan sauces to try, including a vegan spiced BBQ that they put together on the spot for me.
I ordered the jackfruit tamale minus the cheese. It was delicious. I added the chimichurri sauce that the bartender suggested, yum!
I feel like there could be more vegan options made available. It was pretty limited but I still enjoyed my time.

Pros: Atmosphere , Saucey vegan sauces , Garden Orgy cocktail

Cons: A little pricey, Limited vegan options

Very fun and tasty!

This place is a gem. It’s impossible to overstate how fun and lively and happy this place is on the inside.

The menu and the staff are great, and both accommodating for vegans. The vegan options on the winter 2023 menu (we had most of them over two visits) are innovative and incredible. The plato tropical (rice, beans, collard greens) made vegan is unbelievable, don’t sleep on it!

Also has an extensive and impressive drink menu.

A must visit in a town that doesn’t has som, but not a ton, of vegan options!
